Hey just a quick question,
In the quest "Demands of the Qun" where the Arishok trys to take over kirkwall Im trying to get Isabela to leave because I dont want her as one of my companions but still want to fight the arishok. I have made sure that her friendship / rivalry is pretty much exactly even between the two so not 50% either way. And I told her she has to give the book to the qunari instead of telling her she can have it in "To catch a thief" but she still comes back and gives the qunari the tomb? Is this inevitable with the latest patch or something or have I done something wrong? any assistance / advice would be greatly appreciated =D

Why did you recruit her in the first place?

She's stuck with you at this point. Isabela doesn't pick a side for Mages & Templars type plot so she will stay now. Her crisis point is with the Arishok. Your fault for having too much rivalry/friendship.
spoiler depending.
If I recall correctly if you have Varric & Isabela in your party during the final battle leading up to the Gallows in Act 3. Varric asks her if their being in the middle of this makes any sense at all. But it's all Hawke's fault of course. Fulfilling the demands of the Plot!

That doesn't sound right. If Isabela's Rivalry/Friendship bar is in the middle, she should immediately leave when you retrieve the tome and not come back. She needs to be pretty far on one side or the other to come back with the tome just before you fight the Arishok. Maybe you've got a bug or she wasn't as 'neutral' as you thought.
The only way to get rid of her is to give her to the Arishok, if you haven't passed that part yet. Don't know if there's any other way that exists.

I don't recall where I read it, but if she doesn't come back with the book you have to fight the arishok anyway.

Only reason I ever recruit her is for the loot quests and xp she gives. could care less what she says I just skip all her dialogue

Just don't do "To Catch a Thief" and she won't come back, no matter your rivalry/friendship IIRC.

Thanks Emperor =D, yeah this is what I ended up doing. The Arishok didn't consider me Basalit-an at first =( but still not a big deal, as long as I got rid of Isabela =D
