^ Yeah, and given the "announcement" I think there might be more content coming, while I am normally against DLC this soon (why wasn't it included in the main game??)

Because it wasn't made with the main game.

Please keep spoilers out of this thread?
Remember "our role" memo: "A crowd has the mental age of a 5 years old child" ... etc... etc....

Somehow I can't stop thinking that similar memo was passed by EA thought their BW division during the development of DA2! =}

And all those hot emails... lol ... xoxox in my language can also be understood as a word.. a very intimate feminine part word! haha

I'm just about to start a non lethal no guns run through. Should be fun. I'm going to fill up stealth, hacking, battery, invisibility, no noise leg agument. and obviously the double take down.

Spoiler

I'm not sure how I'm going to save Malik though, lots of gas grenades and an EMP mine where the robot drops I'm thinking.

^ Oh yeah, sorry, got a bit carried away, I'm a bit excited about this game, gods, it is actually good.

LOL at "Remember "our role" memo: "A crowd has the mental age of a 5 years old child" ... etc... etc....

Makes sense.

Bryy_Miller: Yeaah, the point was that I'm normally against it, but this game didn't feel like it was incomplete and the DLC is coming to fill in the gaps and shortcomings, I'm really waiting and hoping for more and new content already, give it to me NOW. I'll pay whatever it costs to have more Human Revolution. Hoping it ties somehow to the "Icarus Effect" too, which just might be the case.

@Tirfan Yes it is! I am too! But saving Yelena? I just wanted to be able to beat that stupid c****! Frak! I can find no way to do it because I have no dermal damage reduction and electricity resistance. (Give me DX difficulty) That's the problem of full stealth/hacking build ... *sighs* Tips anyone?

RageGT: Yeah, had a bit of problems in Yelena myself at the start, DX-diffculty, full-stealth no emp-augs, if you have painkillers/hypostims (and you can find quite many of those in this level I think) you can electrocute her to death, I had high-jump aug too, don't know if it is any help, but I suppose so. Get her to explode the things and start jumping, pop painkillers/hypostims when health gets too low.

Edit: also, I forgot, if you have aug-edition, you could have those remote-control explosives... I don't know how many is needed, but you can stunlock her with stungun, drop n explosives to her feet and then drop emp/frag-grenade to her feet and run away, the grenade explodes all the other ones too. I didn't test this as I had used most of the explosives already blowing up the walls but.. it is an option too.

I took her down with my trusty fully upgraded revolver with no problem. Explosive rounds means you can damage her by just hitting her in the general area she's cloaked in. Destroying the hubs around the room to shock her is the other option, but not really for you without the emp upgrade (Which I reccomend regardless of build eventually. You'll have points to spare) Also listen to the verbal warnings when she's about to charge and get out of the way.

Even without using electricity, you can use the water she's standing in to help spot her while cloaked.

It was a little weird about the saving her option, since the dialogue after the fight implies you might decide to. I suspect it was content they didn't have time for and dropped but didn't change the line.

Yay .. I got lucky. Reloaded pre cutscene save and equipped my fully upgraded combat rifle which I had never used! =)

And I stopped trying to save my energy cells just because I was out of "food". Using my Cloaking device and Smart vision I could sprint and track her down and I hit her with an EMP and a Frag grenade and she was stunned long enough for me to shoot her brains out! Without letting her use the shock thing once! :o (dermal armor tree is definitely my next upgrade though)

(I hadn't noticed till now that hypostims would insta heal and raise my HP too. Thanks for the tips! That was a big help. Was fun to watch her shooting the emptyness while I was cloaked and shooting her head from the other side! hehe)

Cloaking Chick? Fully upgraded 10mill and Typhoon Spam took care of that.

Do you have the speed running upgrade? If you do, then run away from her, and when she's about to typhoon you, turn around and jump over her. That allows you to dodge the attack and take 0 damage. Then, wait until you have 100 HP back, and then shoot the big red generators.

Even if you don't have dermal resistance, you still take only about 80 damage if you jump while the floor is electrified. She takes damage that way.

As you keep running away from her and jumping over her, she can't hit you.

If you have a stun-gun, you can shock her to paralyze her, and you can kill her pretty much by waiting until the end of the animation and repeatedly shocking her.

If you don't have that, then you have to jump over her, then shoot her with your best gun.

Well I just cleared Detroit and for all the stuff I heard about the Barret battle it wasn't actually that bad so long as you know a good strategy. I had a few EMP and Explosive grenades stocked up as well as plenty of combat rifle ammo. So I kept stunning from cover and attacking while he was vulnerable and keeping as far away from him as possible. What annoyed me the most was his grenade tick(got me a few times with it).

It's only hard if you have a stealth build.

I'm liking it, although I feel that the story is a bit slow and I've been losing interest in Hengsha. I've been incredibly stealthy throughout the game so far, which makes the boss battles hard as f**k, but, other than that, it is a great game.

Yeah, second play-through I'm now realizing how useful the Typhoon is. Even at level 1, it turns most boss fights into a joke. Yelena didn't stand a chance. Image IPB

And I really want Jensen's coat.

You can actually buy it....But it will cost you £165, although you can buy trench coats from most places for better prices. I own several.

The trench sadly looks nothing remotely like the one he wore. So pretty silly offering on their site. But not nearly as silly as the 'jeans.'

Yes, I noticed the collar is all messed up (it's more of a pea coat style trenchcoat) and it doesn't have the patterns on the shoulders that Jensens one had. It's look pretty good though, although I dont know if I could justify spending that much on that coat when I can get (and have got) trenchcoats that look 10 times better for less.

And yes, the jeans look awful, lol.

Well, I was , perhaps , a little harsh on the game at first.

In my defence i was still bitter on spending good money on the pre-ordered version; Only to not be able to play it for 3-4 days , then have it crash and be all "choppy".

The game definitely grown on me since then. That said i still stand by my earlier remarks: Managing the inventory could have been less tedious, The augs could have been better conceived/diversified, and hacking is turning me into a ticking time bomb of insanity.

DEHR: Come on dude, hack it! Its only a lev1 hub, with 15% chance of detection.
Adam: Dunno , the last 3 times you said that it triggered the alarm.
DEHR: Yeah but 4 times in a row? The chances of it happening again are astronomical.
Adam: ... I better nuke it , just to be sure.
DEHR: And then what? Its your only path to the other nods , plus you have a lev 3 there. Dont be a square.
Adam: Okay. Didn't spend all those praxis points on two hacking trees for nothing *Start hacking*
DEHR: ALARM! ALARM! ALARM!
Adam: You ****er!
DEHR: Oh , now i'm taking this hub and that hub , up , down, left , down, Gotcha!
Adam : Bravo Douche ex.
DEHR: Yeah! I win again. I'm awesome i know.

On that note , is there any way to go around hacking? I'd much rather have  the Bioshock version of hacking... (plumbing) but since  i'm stuck with this , and i feel so much of the story is kept behind hacking it feels like a must. Can you , for example, knock down doors with high enough Strength ?

Really wish they'd made a training tutorial to display every option at the start...

There is always a way, finding a pocket secretary, looking for vents, sometimes you may find you just need to move a box, jump on top of it if it has a roof (could be a way in up there) and I've heard (haven't tested) that the typhoon augmentation can actually blow the lock up (not the subtle approach if you want a stealth character though) and if you have the punch through wall augmentation there might be a weak spot in a wall you can knock down, and you get to snap a guys neck at the same time if someones standing behind it.

I'm hacking everything in this game, even when I have code or password.

Why? Extra exp.

I did the same thing!  Plus it makes up for the times when hacking puts you in a guard's LOS and the automatic unlock grenade becomes the better choice.  I found the autounlocks good for my ultra-ghost, leave no trace, run.

^ No, sadly, but what really is missing is the Purity First-achievement, no augmentations, Give Me Deus ex-difficulty.

That will be my third playthrough.

I'm assuming that we are refraining from posting spoilers here, but I would like to mention that DEHR did an absolutely fantastic job with the games final decision.

The last time I remember seriously considering which option would result in the best outcome would  be when I had to choose between Ashley or Kaidan in ME; Jensen's 'ultimatum' easily tops that.

Every 'boss fight' room is packed with weapons, ammos and explosives.
