I don't intend to earn my living that way. I have a career lined up with the Army. They're even offering to pay the second two years of my degree. The degree opens up something like a Masters of Buisness Management or Political Studies, something that shows I can think, and that I'm worth the Army investing its time and money in training me.
Hope it's not infantry. Otherwise, nice knowing ya.

Officer's commission will start me off in the infantry, but that's a stepping stone. I'm thinking Military Intelligence, possibly Special Forces if I can pass the fitness and psychological requirements.

I'm currently having to defer, but I was doing a Double Major in Philosophy and Australian Indigenous Studies...I was very interested in Theology myself, but the focus was purely on Judeo Christianity, I was hoping for something much broader...having to look elsewhere to feed that interest.
It depends on the college and it's roots, and even more on the professor. My college's roots are in Catholicism, so a "Christian faith" class was mandatory. It was all related to God and conving the class he existed. never knew how many hippies were "atheist" yet knew nothing of God or the bible. How ignorant can you be? I understand skeptical atheism, but plain atheism? What a load of bull.
The University I attend is trying to extend the focus on Theology, but their hands are tied, as it's a conglomerate of Judeo-Christian organizations that fund the Theology Units at this University....it's very unfortunate.
I was raised a Catholic...Catholic Schools, etc... I was very interested in Christanity as a whole, even took myself to church....collected every bible version I could find, cross referncing them, etc...took it all very seriously....But though I believe in a higher power (conciousness) of sorts....it no longer fits the christian model.

Ever wonder why no war is ever fought on US soil and they're economy soars in times of war? Sending people to die just so they can have money? Pathetic. The US is driving itself into a hole they won't be able to escape without becoming the buttmonkey of another country.

Honestly that bugs me too especially when you consider Garrus is wearing armor and Miranda is in some skin tight clothing. Why does she get to take a bullet and live?Quole wrote...
YES ACTUALLY. WTF IS THAT?Made Nightwing wrote...

On a serious note... why does Garrus die from getting shot when not loyal, but Miranda dosnt? Really. WHAT THE ****ING HELL IS THAT?

How did this go from an Anti-Miranda thread to people talking about Religion and Jobs??
Shows not everyone here is a pathetic worm of a gamer who likes to waste his time and other's. We may troll for the hell of it, but we have higher aspirations then flushing down our lifes in our mother's basement.

1.) Her immediate appearance in the game.
2.) The Skin tights and heels.
3.) All *ss and breasts.
4.) The seeming push from BW to take her everywhere with you, given her mix of powers and the bonus.
5.) Her dialog often supercedes another characters.
6.) Being the most most difficult to kill on the SM.
Seems in a way almost like a Liara.2, but killable...just barely.

She's worst then a Liara. at least she's cute. Miranda is a total wreck of writing process. She's like a premeditated Mary Sue gone wrong.
Those right there are the reasons you need to hate her. Women more so. and her ass is just so ridiculous. The "perfect" camera placement doesn't help either.

In the words of Frank West; "FANTASTIC!!!" ......... not really.

IIRC, her 'plot armor' is still in effect, because the biotic bubble scene hasn't happen yet.
Also, due to her genetic tailoring, she heals at a much higher rate. (Wolverine/X-Men anybody?)

Can't be that huge of a bonus.
Garrus: Bullet to gut - instant death
Miranda: " " " - brushes it off (without armor)
Pretty stupid

I'm not anti-Miranda but my biggest issue with her is the inconsistent writing. She goes from "Shepard I'm not interested in a friend concentrate on the mission" in Freedom's progress to developing a sweet tone on the Normandy and saying "awww I guess you earned the right". Then there's the whole issue of her not supporting keeping the collector base and betraying Cerberus that conflicts with everything we've been shown about her.
It was very disapointing seeing her go the typical Tsundere route and "seeing the light" about Cerberus on top of all that.

There's certainly some incestous undertones going on with Miranda's creation that's for sure.

Yes, that too Seboist...it's certainly odd, I did a double take on the first game, I was expecting her to continue her original reaction towards Shep....it actually would have made her a more interesting and believable character.Seboist wrote...
