You all need to improve your mass effect-fu

That Turian doesn't have any facepaint we've seen before (check the mandibles and the fringe). It's a new guy, probably briefing you for some mission or something. He also has pretty ****ty low-res texture on his armor.

What the heck is this 2004?

From what though?

Same reason they wanted the geth and the rachni. Shock troopers.

Indeed, they're definitely a step-up in terms of detail and variety from what we've see previously.

I am fascinated by the purple-armored turian. We don't even know if he's an important character yet (remember the smoking batarian?), but if he is, I hope it's Partinax.

Because I need to make jokes about how the most badass turian in the galaxy dresses like a grape at a rave.

So is that the Infiltrator's or Vanguard's heavy melee? Either way, I am disappoint.

The Cerberus goons should be fun to fight,be kind of cool to have a use for concussive shot.

Not saying they're not generic, just more detailed and less homogenous then the enemies in ME1 and ME2 (where a lot of the humanoid enemies had the same meshes with pallet swaps).

The funny thing is that the new Cerberus guy is actually dressing up like a soldier better than anyone else in the Mass Effect games. No stupid skin tight suits.

Face paint.

ME3 turian has white paint on the mandible.

Sidonis has blue paint on the mandible.

Thus, not Sidonis.

Anyway, I'm kinda disappointed with the heavy melee so far. Soldier's was okay, Sentinel's should have been a mix of Biotic and Tech, but instead they just went Dual Omni-Blades which downplays the single Omni-Blade of the solider, and doesn't represent what the class is about. Adept's was fine. Engineer's was pretty cool. And then this looks like it's using the same animation as the Engineer's and ONCE AGAIN, an Omni-Blade.

That turian's outfit is very ME1-ish.

Wat. I think that armor looks neat. And expensive. Certainly befits a General.

Perhaps the thing I love most about the 'Mysterious Turian' screenshot is how much it evokes ME1 for me. Not sure why, be it the armor, the combination of characters or what, but it's a good thing regardless.

Colour me surprised if he actually does represent a replacement for Garrus should he be dead in your import.

No details, but she fought Wrek to a standstill a long time ago. (No, I can't confirm that). Pretty fierce.

Ya know...there might be something to that theory. I just played ME1 recently and Wrex mentions the note he got from his friend said, "better luck next time". Then Shep gets the same line in Afterlife  while talking to her. Hmmm....
