I vote Male Amell + Morrigan be the canon couple. Seriously they're just so perfect and awesomely magical badass together, it's unreal. I just LOVE them. They're so awesome epic. <3

Imagine how strong OGB is going to be, being a dragon god and all, on top of the fact that his mum and dad are BOTH extremely powerful mages! :D

(or in one continuity where Morrigan and Amell conceived a kid earlier and didn't do the ritual, he won't be an Old God but he'll still be a VERY powerful mage no doubt. I wanna see what he looks like darnit! Stop taunting us, Bioware!)

^ I agree with this if dragon age were to adopt a canon for a movie or tv series etc. But I came up with a canon couple for every origin lol.

Female City Elf + Alistair. I just like the idea of an elf who lost everything finding love and becoming the King's consort. Wife woulda been better but the punk won't commit if he's king >.<

Female mage + Zevran Just because of Zev's past

Female drwarf noble + Alistair

Male Dalish + Leliana

etc

I agree with you on the OGB, and it's power. But I do kind of doubt a regular child of the two's would be extremely powerful standalone. I don't think two mage's having a child would change what the child could do.

As to canon couples, I do vote a Cousland(although he does lose his name afterall upon becoming a Warden) and Morrigan, plus dark ritual. That seems to work.

And for some reason I see a Mage mating Alistair to be honest, but that's just me.

But seriously, I'm not sure I like the idea of Morrigan in love. I like her as an enigmatic lone wolf whose loyalties and motives you're never quite sure of.

Lel and Zev, it seems, have their own paths to follow through the Dragon Age series, so that leaves Alistair, who does actually work very well as a love interest. The end of the game can be very nicely conflicting if you've romanced him.

And for reasons I'm not sure I can share on a No Spoiler forum, it kinda seems to me the Dalish Warden is the cannon warden.

It really depends on where Dragon Age as a series goes. Each Origin could make a similiar claim because of individual quests. But the Landsmeet (the climax of the game), would push the Human Noble to be canon. Then when Witch Hunter shows up, a lot more plot threads show up if you're Dalish.

I've only done a few Wardens, but they each have a canon couple

M!Cousland and Leliana (An Orlesian lover? Bryce must be rolling in his grave).
F!Amell and Alistair
F!Tabris and Zevran (a racist elf certainly wouldn't end up with any other character, after all)

Leliana wan't born in Orlais, her mother moved there when she was pretty young. Her sympathies seem to be with Orlais though. I'm pretty sure Oriana, Fergus' first wife was Orlesian. Bryce didn't seem to have a problem with it.

I also do the m!Cousland/Leliana. As for Bryce liking it or not, since they make frequent trips to Orlais, I don't him having as issue with the coupling. As for Oriana, she was Antivan.
