okay i saw a video can no longer find it of a run through where every squadmate died and shep still lived by having zaeed still alive and then go to kill him in his loyalty mission can someone tell me how i can keep him alive while the rest die?

Don't make him a fire team leader during the long walk- that'll kill him.
Sending him back unloyal with the crew will most likely kill him.
Don't take him on the long walk - he could die.
Don't take him on the final fight.
Don't put him in the shaft .
If you skipped any of the upgrades to the Normandy then take Zaeed with you to fight the orb-robot thing. He can't die if he's with you there.
