Anyone notice the Patryk Olejniczak Femshep poster is cross-eyed? <_<

Err, yeah. Kind of messes up the picture for me. It's still an awesome picture, but I can't stop focusing on that one detail...

Yeah, and she looks a mite bucktoothed. But other than those things (which by themselves aren't entirely bad--I'd rather she look less than perfect, just in different ways than this--older, a bit wider in the jaw) I love it--the color choices are simply beautiful, the armor is PERFECT, and she looks tough. In spirit, that is perfectly FemShep--badass attitude in a feminine-but-not-ultra-feminine package.

That red has such an edge, such a shock of color--I like the color there better than in the wallpaper itself. It looks nicer with some highlights, a little more natural. If they continue in that direction with the final version, make her look somewhat more realistic/less made-up but still eye-catching, I will be one happy fan. =]

But honestly, I'm happy either way. *high-fives Creid-X and everybody on board the FemShep love train*

not see the "too young" part.  What do you expect Shepard's age to be?
45?  Commander Shepard is the age of 29 in Mass Effect, and the age of
31 in Mass Effect 2.  Given that Arrival takes place during the events
of Mass Effect 2 (or shortly after depend on when you played the DLC),
and Mass Effect 3 takes place six months after Arrival, Shepard will be
31 or 32.

People "age" differently.  I knew a 32 year old women
that I believed to be my age, when I was 18.  I knew a 25 year old I
thought was close to 30.

Now, that point, I'll give you. I'm 31 and I've often been mistaken by my classmates at college for being their age. My mother always got pegged for ten years younger than she was, too.

But with FemShep, she's the same character as ManShep, just the female version. And you've got to admit, he looks a fair bit older than she does.

A few little stress lines wouldn't kill her. It would just make her look more like a seasoned soldier, more like her male counterpart.

Like the look, freckles and red hair, figure.....but she still looks far too young for a veteran fighter. Default sheploo looks his age and experience, like his look, why does femshep look like 13...totally unrealistic. FREE JAFFA lives on a different planet....and wears rosetintd goggles...

Sheploo looked like he was about 40 when his character in ME1 was 29. Add that in with enough enhancements that a human is capable to live until 150 shows that default sheploo is actually a inaccurate depiction of someone his age in the Mass Effect verse ;)

I'm pretty much pleased and glad to turn the tables on smugness 180 degrees. This is more like what I expected her to look like—just a facelift and a bit of polish.

I'm not bothered too much by her looks when looking at the full-sized picture. Those saying that this isn't up to par with Patryk's usual work (in less than polite language) need to lay off the Haterade. I do agree that she looks a little too young, but complaining about her body proportions is a bit too much of a reach imo.

Looking forward to seeing her in the trailer... and on the back of my tin.

Sheploo isn't supposed to really look that old. The Mass Effect verse in the Codex and novels pretty much says that humans can live til there 150 and even Kahlee Sanders who was 50 yrs old was considered pretty hot and kind of young. She would likely look how a 30 yr old today looks. Sheploo was modeled off of a 40 yr old I think and the character was 29 in ME1. ME2 shouldn't change his age since he was basically resurrected with a lot more bells and whistles.

You know, her facial features are a bit similar to those of Deborah Ann Woll.

She still looks younger than ManShep, which could be fixed a bit, and I'd prefer a more natural color for the lips, but I love her features. Would be a nice, realistic base.

I know, but if the age gap between Sheploo and FemShep is too wide, then it really stands out.

Age is partially affected by your stress level. FemShep has suffered as much stress as Sheploo, it's safe to say. She can have a few wrinkles and it won't kill the lore. It'll just make her look more natural compared to Shepdude.

I do get where people are coming from re: femshep's apparent age vis-a-vis manshep, but to be honest I'm just overjoyed by all the femshep media attention. Doesn't hurt that I voted for this one.

Patryk's art is now my new PS3 wallpaper, cross-eyes be damned.

Yay, red head won with 19K votes after blonde had already won with 31K votes.... wait what......

Alot of people voted for the HAIRSTYLE the blond fem shep had in the first round, not the hair color she had. Which is why after they learned this and saw alot of people disliking the Blond hair color, and figured about HALF of that 31k was people voting based of the style over the color... We have Blondie going down in flames instead of holding onto the crown and people going for the Redhead taking it soundly away.

There isn't an age gap really. Bioware base there model off of someone who isn't the best representation of a 29 year old in Mass Effect. Sheploo should be seen as inacurrate not Fem shep.

They don't show stress levels in ME by wrinkles much. The more stressed or renegade you are the scars will come back. Sheploo has a fuller beard now and I'm not seein the wrinkles much on sheploo in game. If you are talking about that cover art then I'm not going to rely on that much because the cover half the time is usually not the most accurate source for facial features.

Also Shepard could have a few wrinkles but I wouldn't really care if she didn't. Those are easily explainable.

This made my day. My first run through ME 1 (2 years ago) was done with my canon Shepard. Jade Shepard. She was the first Shepard I imported into ME 2. Also she will be the first Shepard I will import to ME 3.

And what is so great for me?

This is how she looks.:o
Image IPB
Same red hair, same green eyes. Now I am really curious to see trailer with her :D

Personally, I don't care how "old" Shepard looks. You're right, people age differently. My femShep eats really healthy, gets excersize, and takes stress relieving pills *Alliance approved*, so she's pretty smooth and ageless. My mShep doesn't do any of that stuff, except for getting excersize, and his face looks really worn and tired.

But it still doesn't matter, because all of the art work in the world can't reflect an in-game PC. We only have very distant and minor renditions of the actual model.

It looks really weird. Doesn't it look really weird? There's something kinda off about how he's drawn her face.
Still, great to see femshep getting some attention : )

reat artstyle, but isn't she squintng in that pic (She has a kinda silly expression :pinched:)

I think a lot of people are commention on her mouth.  When I look at the picture, it looks like she's about to spit, or just spit.  In action movies, when a character is hit, often times they spit.  Whether they are bleeding or not.  Sort of like a, "what else you got," moment.  That's what I see when I look at that picture, is her spitting as a taunt to whoever just hit her.

I tried.  But the more I got to know her, the crazier she became.  Then I found out she had a 15 year old son.  It just got weirder.  Then I found out she was a crazy Christian.  Then ended up marrying a guy she knew for only about two weeks.  Too crazy for me man.

All this BS about Shepards age.. Shepard in ME2 after she wakes up is technically not more than 1 year old. She was dead at 29, mangled, burned up, and what was left frozen. They started with a small bag of meat and generated new tissue to put her back together... She's not 20 or 30 anything.

Amazing work guys.

Now for the trailer!

Oh god and the **** storm that will ensue on that day will be terrible indeed.

Actually, no crapstorm would ever beat the kind that would happen if Bioware decided to go for Round 3 voting in regards to femShep where the fans get to vote on her cup size. I'd buy so much popcorn for that thread you would not believe, though.

Oh, yeah, I'm cool with her red hair and green eyes. Seems kind of silly, though. The only difference between old default femShep and new default femShep is slightly longer hair. Shoulda just stuck with the original default, maybe with a new hairstyle and all this mess could've been avoided. Ah well, what's done is done.

GO RED-HAIRED, GREEN-EYED FEMSHEP. Image IPB Hm, during the reveal of femShep's trailer, maybe we'll get to hear Mr. ME3 Trailer Narrator Guy once more. That would be so awesome. Maker knows I'll never tire of that man's voice, be it Sam Worthington, Greg Ellis, Sean Bean, Richard Armitage, or whoever else people are guessin'. Image IPB

No offense, but... I swear, I'll never understand nerds. Image IPB

Especially after this Femshep fiasco. And it continues! Well, maybe I really AM a fish out of water and would be better off. Now if you would all excuse me, I have to tend to the Chihuahua in my bag. Au revoir.

Hah.  Nerds?  This entire argument represents Western culture.  Nerds and geeks are just as much part of Western culture as anyone.  Those in sports culture will have very similar arguments, but mainly over why this character was traded there, and why this coach didn't make this move.  It's all the same, just in a different medium.

Usually I like Patryk's artwork, but I think that one is actually bad.

The armor and background is fine, but the face is WUT IN THE BLOODY HELL.

Cross eyed. I think I see lipstick? Or is that blood?

And I never paid attention to those who said, "SHE LOOKS LIKE A TEENAGER" but yeah, there she actually does look like a teenager.

Ah well. Blondie didn't win, which was bull. But I'm over it. That and she'd probably look like a teenager if P did artwork of her as well. *shrugs*

But hey, the rest of his stuff is awesome, so I'm looking forward to later work.

QFT.  As of 2186 Shepard is 32 years old.  Then you have to take away the two years she was dead so he/she's really "30."  Shepard was also pretty much built from scratch again with some "improvements."

Like Sunnie22 says Shepard is probably as genetically/biologically young as a 1 year old.  There's no reason why Femshep would have to look 40ish, especially with the lifespan and genetic engineering in the ME universe.  If anything, Maleshep actually looks too old for his age in ME3 concept art.
