All this BS about Shepards age.. Shepard in ME2 after she wakes up is technically not more than 1 year old. She was dead at 29, mangled, burned up, and what was left frozen. They started with a small bag of meat and generated new tissue to put her back together... She's not 20 or 30 anything.

QFT.  As of 2186 Shepard is 32 years old.  Then you have to take away the two years she was dead so he/she's really "30."  Shepard was also pretty much built from scratch again with some "improvements."

Like Sunnie22 says Shepard is probably as genetically/biologically young as a 1 year old.  There's no reason why Femshep would have to look 40ish, especially with the lifespan and genetic engineering in the ME universe.  If anything, Maleshep actually looks too old for his age in ME3 concept art.

Cerberus should have rebuilt Shepard as an infant then. (An infant that is capable of fighting)

I have a nagging feeling that Patyrk won't do as well under a deadline and pressure from his superiors. ;P

No that would own too much.  Imagine all the small places Shepard could fit into.  99% of enemies wouldn't even be able to hit the evasive infant Shepard in combat.  Shepard would also have the unfair cute infant factor, distracting the Reapers from their ultimate goal.

I like the idea that Shepard is barely 1 year old due to dying then 'reborn'.

Adrenaline rush with baby Shep doing a dive jump and firing off a little mini custom rifle. Or baby Shep doing some biotic attacks. The collectors wouldnt be able to touch em.
Maybe next time Shep dies, they can reincarnate him/her as such. We can only hope.

To be fair, he probably had to create about 6 diffrerent images. It does look a little stuck on.  But its still a fantastic picture I feel.  It helps to embody whats great about her :)

Agreed it's pretty awesome, although I do agree that she looks a bit... young...
Anyway I don't think she looks cross-eyed, i'm pretty sure it's just the angle of the face etc.

There's a reason why Cerberus didn't build such a weapon in the first place.  It would be too dangerous to unleash upon the Galaxy...  No infant Shepard.

He'll do fine.  It's just the dumbasses on here that love to tear people down and tear down anything BW does in general.

YEEESSSS!! I am so happy the red head won, she's the one I voted for and there really aren't enough red heads in media who aren't damsels in distress. I'm looking at you MJ Watson.
But man, I really hope we can choose to play as default femshep when starting the game. Honestly she looks better then mine who I've never liked. It would really suck bad if you had to do a new ME3 game to choose.

I'm wondering if this was originally of Femshep 2 from the poll 1 updated with the winning hair style, since the nose etc. looks more similar to that facial structure than Femshep 5's.

Again still a great piece of art regardless and waaay better than I could ever dream of doing.

Finally! SO glad all this nonsense is finally over. Shepard looks fantastic with red hair, love her debut poster and I can't wait for the trailer! :wizard:

And here's to hoping people can get back to celebrating that Femshep is finally getting the recognition she has long deserved, rather than continue fighting about something so trivial.

Is there anyway to find out if players can import their old save yet still pick to use default FemShep instead? I really wanna know this.

It will probably work exactly like it did in Mass Effect 2.  Importing your old save will bring up the character creation screen regardless.  So from there you can either continue with your old face, make a new one or choose default Femshep.

The one thing that is different is changing your class will take away special perks given from importing your character.

Oh I hope so. I mean I have some doubt though, cause ME2 had plausible reason, the whole being rebuilt point. This, well y'know. But hopefully you're right.

I love it. Why? My no-BS 17 year old daughter is a redhead who could (with the right hairstyle) look just like that. Showed it to her. She smiled and said: "Of course. Redheads kick a**."

I agree with this 100 percent. Redheads are the best. They just have so little worthwhile representation in media.

Jennifer Hale makes Mass Effect for me. :)

The artwork that Patrick has done for FemShep looks good (mood, lighting, textures), but something seems off about her right leg? Also I can't make out what that bulbous object is behind her?!
