Well, i've had a family member "dead" (Guillain–Barré syndrome) for years being kept alive by "machines".
After nearly 2 years of "dead" they made a recovery.
Age listed on all documents were continuous.

Did they fall from orbit and get incinerated by the atmosphere?

First, that's like saying 'a mojority of the people didn't vote for Obama in the Democratic primary.'  Its a useless statement.  GingerShep got more votes in the second round of voting.  I doesn't matter that the other haircolors got more votes cumulatively.  You have to go with one canidate.

Cover was in ME1.  Its just easier to interact with in ME2.  Looks like they are adding even more ways to interact with it in ME3.  Looks like they are ADDING depth.  It just may not be in the direction you prefer.  Which is fine.  But it helps if we are truthful, no?

Which brings us to your last point.  Sounds like you are still hurt from missed expectations in Dragon Age 2.  It would likely help your outlook more if you kept those feelings seperate from this franchise.

Anyway.  Back to modding.  It sucks you will have to deal with freckled skin.  Get over it.  Its a GAME.  Its made to be played.  And the game is an action game.  Not Barbie Dress Up 2004.  If you are really that into messing with 3d models, get a programe made specifically for that purpose.  Right?

You're talking as if the US voting system is the ultimate, here in my country we make coalitions so that the result is composed of majority preference. Hence it'd be a no-freckles & green eyes model.

ME1 system didn't fill up your HP every time you hid, hotdog and chocolate sauce are awesome in their own, not together.

In fact I liked DA2 better than ME2, yet it'd take someone who didn't play any previous Bioware games to not notice how they began to loathe RPG systems and began catering to Gears of War & God of War crowd. The approach is the same no matter their franchise is.

Yeah it sucks that I'll have to deal with freckled skin, then again, here is a discussion forum for us to voice our opinions. Who are you to silence me? Bioware claimed that this was an RPG (not action as you propose) so I'm holding them to their word and ask for the appropriate options.

If people didn't care about character models, we wouldn't have dozens of pages about this issue over the last weeks, so it appears that I'm not alone in that.

Ok, let me get this straight, this artwork shows an experienced battle-proven Lieutenant Commander who is also humans greatest hero (alive), a  spectre and the hero of the Citadel?

Don't mistake my post for a rant, I can and will make my own Shepard in ME3 and thus care very little about the FemShep voting contests and artwork....... but I cant keep my mouth shut this time, it just makes me think: ''Bioware.......are you serious?''

Just saw this. HATE it. Seriously, why does BioWare think the fanbase wants all the female characters to look like high-end sex dolls? Do they even understand WHY FemShep is such a phenomenon? Hint: It's not her pouty lips and come-hither eyes.

I made the 'Barbie' joke to show how silly this argument is.  Mass Effect is an ACTION RPG.  It has priorities that are focused on action and gameplay.  Not Shep's face.

I would agree with you, but Bioware started with the beauty contest in the first place, and how important femShep face was. So you cant blame some people for caring now

Oh my god people! That one isn't an official render! It's Art! Sure by someone Bioware hired, but still art! Do any of the ME2 characters look like those squad posters that came out??
If you want what she really looks like and what will be on the box art just look at the render used in the voting process. Geez.

If it's fan art, then I'm off base. I thought it was done by Bioware.

It's not fanart, but it's not done by Bioware, it's done by someone bioware hired to do the art.
The one done by bioware is the one's used in the voting. The one that's the opposite of the Sheploo one.

How should she look then? Ugly? And honestly, I'm a guy, and I don't think she has "pouty lips" or "come hither" eyes.

So calm down with your feminist sexism.

I'm not saying you shouldn't care or that you shouldn't speak I'm just trying to throw some cold water on you. In the grand scheme of things its isn't that important that the you can't get a hi-res model from the character creator or that the hi-res model they give you has freckles.

And as to voting... how would bioware make a coalition? A straight vote makes sense. Its easy, its cheap, and it requires a minimum of resources. They gave us four options. One of them was a clear outlying winner. They ran with it. How is that not fair?

Also, Mass Effect has always been an action RPG. I say the action has been improved (better cover system etc) and the roleplaying (the ability to execute choices that correspond to a role) have not been compromised. But that is just my opinion.

She's clearly meant to be glaring and grinding her teeth in determination at someone off-camera. How well the artist conveyed that is another matter, but that was clearly the intention.

That is a valid point.

But I'm not blaming people for caring how she looks so much as crying over the results of the poll.

But I think in the end I'm glad that Bioware did the beauty contest becuase it elevated FemShep's apearance.  My freinds still have a hard time grasping that you can play as a girl.  It something that needs to be out there more.

Seriously though, just because you and other people think it's ugly, doesn't make it so for others with differing opinions. Chicken Man would tap Default FemShep.

Wow, the default Shepherd sure as hell doesn't look like she is in her 30's. You suck at this Bioware.

That's because she isn't.

Pretty sure default Shepherd is not suppose to be a teenager.

Glad to see someone else noticed the same. But hey, there are women in their 30's who still look like teenagers. So I don't really mind it, but it's a bit silly.

C'mon! Can't you people who hate the red hair just shut up and give this too us! I'm a red head and we have no where near as much representation as blondes and brunettes. Just look how many strong characters throughout media are blonde or brunette! Who do the red heads have? Mary Jane Watson? That's no kind of life. She's nothing but a glorified damsel in distress, who's grown to popular for her own good. There are maybe one or two strong female red heads throughout all media. Give us this.

I don't get this argument.

Lets see, people were begging for years for a new - and better - default femshep. So, finally - and to some too late - they decided to make a new one using a contest where the fans can vote for hair, color & whatever...which is really no different from what we can already do in game.
Would a model be any different?

Yes, it is obviously the same as the official render. Doesn't help the fact that they have released this mutated anime picture.

Wow you must not have seen much anime before lol because there are a few features that shepard is missing to make it looke like an anime pic.

People complain too much, I think she looks fine.

Same, she's sexy

Hope that hair style is in the CC :wizard:

I like her even if I don't care for defaults at all (my Shep is the only Shep I care about). But I do think she looks fine and that going crazy over this is not worth it.

And yes, I want that hair style on the CC! :)
