I can't say I'm a huge fan of the artwork but I absolutely love that so much work and effort is going into FemShep now. I also approve of the redhead Shepard. For me, no artwork is ever really going to portray Shepard perfectly because it's not going to be my Shepard. So, I'm fine with that.

I enjoyed watching the announcement though and really appreciated Jennifer Hale thanking the fans who called out for more FemShep representation. I'm looking forward to that trailer now. ^^

Thank you for that    =)    I happen to like the artwork but it's nice to hear someone who feels positive. I'm very happy with the attention that FemShep is getting. Really don't think that they could have had one alternative that didn't make someone unhappy. I voted for the blonde one but I'm just as happy with the one that won. Simply because it's FemShep and now she's real and will finally get a trailer. I'll try to hold on to my happy feelings and not listen too much to the complaining

The ME community on the whole is far to sexually deprived to be relied upon for meaningful input on these kinds of things. Plus, immaturity runs rampant on these forums for sure.

Like I said again Every shep has the same body type. No shepard has a large chest at all. If you played any ME game you would know this.

Oh Lawd. Look, I never liked the blonde femshep (My preference, the pixie cut shep with raven-colored hair, wasn't even ranked), but just because she's blonde haired, blue eyed, that means she's ditsy?  And how are her ****** any bigger than they've ever been?  Shep is small chested, but her armor has always made her look bigger, just compare in ME2. That's the effin' armor. And even if that were some kind of idiotic point, all the Sheps in the voting had the same boob size, it's not like Blondes were bigger and that's why she got the vote.

I think if the two votes proved anything, it was that people just wanted a better hairstyle for Shep, that's all. And they wanted her to be redhead. The majority ruled that. So don't bring in some insane troll logic about how blonde or long-haired is automatically 'ditsy' or '****ty' or whatever. Jeepers.

Indeed, this is a positive thing! FemShep is finally getting the attention she deserves. Art is always going to be viewed differently by different people so I'm not too worried that this piece isn't to my tastes. The FemShep wallpaper, however, is very nice! I can only take positives away from all this! ^^

You and I have different ideas of what "manly" is.  I don't look at Sheploo and think, "that is one mean space marine".  I used to like Sheploo, but that was before I got hardcore into the game, and now I can't stand to see Sheploo.  He looks like an American football player, not an epic hero.  And I'm sorry, but he doesn't look like he'd be an Engineer, Adept, Sentinel, or Infiltrator.  If anything, he looks like a grunt.  He could maybe pull off a Vanguard.  But when I finally decide to transfer my Vanguard to ME2, I'm changing him from Sheploo to custom.

Also, as someone that knows "teenage gothic punk wannabes" and was one when he was in high school, I can say she doesn't look like that.  At this point, you're just pulling stuff out of your ass to hate on this art.  As I've said before in a post, I know women in the Army that are skinnier and look younger than her.  I know a girl in the United States Air Force you would think is still in high school.  She's the same age as me, 25.

And for everyone complaining about freckles.  Those that say freckles take away from her epicness?  You are seriously horrible people bordering on racism, but most certainly espousing prejudice.

For those complaining that you won’t be able to get rid of the freckles, did you use the Character Creator?  You can have your Shepard be as pale as printer paper or as dark as night.  You can also change the structure of their head.  And by the gods you can increase or decrease the size of their face.  Last but not least, you can *gasp* also change the complexion!

What does an epic hero look like?  I bet you can't give me a solid description of one, because unless you're a fan of classic Greek literature, real heros come in all shapes and sizes..

Anyway, the default Shepard was always portrayed as a soldier, and Sheploo definitely looks like a soldier imo.  The only thing he's lacking is a more robust build.  He should be taller and more muscular, but it doesn't matter.

The other classes, while not as weapons oriented as the soldier, are still combat specialists.  Regardless of your class, Shepard will always be a warrior first and foremost so he must look the part..

1)  Pale skin.....check!

2)  Dark lip stick.....check!

3)  Greasy messed up looking hair.....check!
I guess the only things she's missing are blue highlights and piercings up the wazoo.. 

As for your real life examples, do you think any of them could be in the Special Forces?  No, of course not, so why even bring them up?

Hey I like the  boobs just as much as any other hot blooded straight male but  this is getting out of hand. What does her  cup size have to with the fact that  she can kick you teeth in. What that she has  put  this size sports bra over that size at worst  tape  the girls up before heading out on a mission.
