You mean the red Shep with 19K votes or the blonde Shep with 31K votes?  If we are going by which Shep got the most votes the whole thing should have been over after the first vote.

Well not everyone was going to be happy. The half dozen other threads showed that. So yeah, the couple of people who still have an issue, complain if you must but its done now and it will just fall of deaf ears.  We have our new Shep and she still looks great!!  Her looks only embody a small fraction of what shes about anyway.  They dont define at any point through the game as she is customisable.   


Frankly Im past that point where its an issue.  Bioware have done something great for the fans. Blonde, brunette, redhead.  It doesnt matter to me!   It didnt matter to Jen Hale either, she was so enthusiastic throughout!  

So yeah, go femshep!

I can only presume that when the 31k that voted for the first blonde shep were given a choice of what hair color the 31k then became split. Add that we had more voters chime in this time as well and there you go. 

Makes me think a lot of people voted for the blonde shepard in round 1 simply because they liked the style. When given a choice for color then, they changed their opinions.

Most people had no idea there was a new poll. They thought blonde FemShep won and moved on.

Blonde FemShep got 31,000 votes. She dwarfed the redhead's votes. Period.

Meh, I don't really care about default Shep. I use custom for all of my FemSheps. I'd rather have a Shepard whose appearance is constant (w/ the exception of hair and make-up) throughout all three games.

Turns out people voted for the hairstyle, and they like Shep #5's the best.  Me? I preferred Shep# 1, but #5 was good too, and #5 won by a mile. Next, 4 FemSheps with that hairstyle.  Redhead, henceforth known as Red Five, again won by a mile. Hence, long haired redhead femshep.  You can whine about freckles vs. beauty mark and eye color if you want, but this is the truth.  Fans voted for long haired redhead femshep, and that is what was given.

That's the only reason I picked it, didn't like the blonde look but would have lived with it. Clearly enough people wanted a different hair color so they did a second vote to narrow it down. If the first win was because she was blonde it would have been the same the second time.

I agree with you, it was a deceitful move.  It should have been presented as a "style" vote not a "final look" vote.  But there was nothing "unfair" about holding another straight up vote.  And the redhead got more votes than the blonde, so the redhead won.  People try to complicate this issue, but it really is just that simple.
