For some reason I never get the dialogue at the end with Alistair or Loghain so I can't choose one of them to kill the archdemon... even when I deny Morrigan's ritual, my warden still automatically runs in and kills the archdemon without allowing me to choose Alistair or Loghain. I've disabled all mods and even reinstalled the game... I have Awakening and Witch Hunt installed and 1.04 patch.

Disabled mods or uninstalled mods? Sometimes a complete uninstall is necessary, and there are a few mods that can cause issues even after being uninstalled. A complete list of the mods involved would be helpful (see the Read First post pinned to the top of the forum for posting instructions).

Thanks for the reply. The mods I had installed were character respec, combat tactics, and morrigan's restoration patch. I'm assuming it was the morrigan mod so I uninstalled it and still got the glitch. I guess reinstalling the entire game would be the only way maybe?

MRP doesn't generally cause this problem (I won't play without it and ZDF installed to fix all the dialogue bugs), but it could be the culprit. (Or you have a random bad file) I would try a reinstall. You can save your character folder and do a complete reinstall with nothing retained so that it clears out everything. Character respec can cause issues with characters not leveling in post-DAO campaigns. There are a couple of different combat tactics mods, and again, they can cause issues, but not generally this one.
