I've always assumed that Alistair is in his early 20s, though -- been through his basic education and his Templar training and about to take his vows... he logically couldn't be much older than that, assuming the Templar training isn't something crazy like 10 years. They'd want their fighters to be younger for the best physical condition, like modern professional sports players, is kind of how I imagine it.

I think Cailan is 27, Anora is 30, Loghain is 50, and Duncan is probably in his 40s-50s.
Duncan I'd say is about early 40's, going by the Calling. He was definitely younger than Maric in that book, who is about the same age as Loghain. The others, though, you are spot on, I think.
It's even funnier that Eamon is supposed to be younger than Loghain (at least about 45, I think) but looks like his grandpa, lol

That's an interesting letter in other ways, as well. It casts a new light on Eamon's character - he had been trying to convince Cailan to leave Anora, apparently.
Then, as it so happens, Cailan was planning to drop Anora and hook up with Empress Celene instead. Something seems awfully suspicious about that - was Cailan and Celene getting together also Eamon's idea?
So much political intrigue and secrecy in these games. I suppose we'll have to wait and see.

Duncan, going by The Calling is, I'd say, mid 40s at most.
Anora - late twenties. Cailan is a year younger.

id say
Anora - 33
Loghain - 58
Cailen - 29
Duncan - 51 54
And Alistair probably 20ish
Just another point on his Templar training wasnt it stated in DA2 how long Kerrens training was, cant remember the number, or was that just because of his potential possession i dunno /finish

Loghain isn't that old, he and Maric were around 21-22 at the Battle of River Dane. He'd be 53 at most.

Just saying Cailen is 9 or 10 years older than Alistair,...
If Alistair was 18 in 9:30 Dragon (I thought he was older - I have a hard time believing he could be any younger)
That means he was born 9:12 Dragon
If Cailen is 9 or 10 years older he'd have had to have been born before Maric took back his throne (the war continued for sevral years (3 or 4) after River Dane) not saying that he couldn't have been but I seem to think that's not quite how it happened (can't remember why right

Regarding Alistair, if you take the view that he is a certain book character's son, then he's about 21 at the beginning of Origins. But if you take the view that is the chamber maid's son, then he could be a little older. It is left deliberately ambiguous. He would, in any case, be younger than Cailan.

The Calling & TST Spoilers (Well maybe spoilers, it's basically the blurb)
The Wiki wrote...
Dragon Age: The Calling is the second novel to be set in the Dragon Age universe. It is set approximately fourteen years after King Maric Theirin and his companions ventured into the Deep Roads as described in Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne and eleven years after the Orlesian occupation of Ferelden was brought to an end at the close of the Blessed Age.
That's even worse! They entered the Deep Roads in 8:99 Blessed, didn't they? Perhaps 8:98 at the earliest but River Dane was in 8:99 because the dragon shows up just before the battle.
