Apparently you can't use amplification and tech armor at the same time. In the "ME3 Demo LIVE with Special" video, at about 8:19 he activates amplification and tech armor goes away. This makes potential Sentinel builds very interesting: Tech Armor=Defensive play style while Amplification=Offensive play style.

Also, that animation for Amplification is sweeeeet.  The omni-tool is going into overdrive!

Go Here and click on the "ME3 Demo LIVE with Special" video to see what I'm talking about.

Maybe the "Armor Amplification" rank of Amplification lets you use both at the same time.

That's a very good point and something I hadn't considered.  My sentinel build plans will have to change yet again if this is the case haha.

Update: Reave is making its return as a power in ME3

Probably a bonus power still, but I suppose it is possible they gave it to the vanguard.  Taken from the twitter update.

Also, he mentions a "secret power" that is "adapted from ME1."  Sabotage is already in the mix again, as we've seen from the engineer, so what could it be?  Medicine?  Carnage?  Overkill?

The only power that I thought worked well in ME1 that wasn't in ME2 (once stasis made it in) was Adrenaline Burst. At least thats what I think it was called. It obviously wouldn't work in ME2 because of the global cooldown but it has argueably already been adapted into the powers we know about for the Adept as Overpower.

Weapon powers that provided a temporary buff like the Assault rifle and Pistol already made it in as the adapted Adrenaline Rush.

I'm willing to bet that Foritude is a bonus power and right now, its the placeholder power. It's listed beneath the class passive which, in ME2, was the same spot the bonus power went.

The current information we have kind of contradicts that. It seems to be a second passive but one that is common to all classes with bonuses to shields, health, and melee damage.

Yeah, I had the exact same line of thought as you do before I saw the video where it showed Fortitude on the power screen and gave the description of what it does; the heavy melee damage aspect of it is the key piece of evidence. Now it seems almost certain that it is a universal passive.  The idea is kind of growing on me, especially since health/shields seem to be out of the equation in the class mastery powers.  Also, 9 powers instead of 8 means even more choice, sacrifice, and tough decisions when leveling your character, something I can get behind 100%.

My thoughts exactly. I never put points into Cryo Ammo or Blast before, because it always felt like such a waste - yeah, it freezes people after their defenses are down, but at that point I might as well just kill them and be done with. Slowing down enemies, though - that could really help out.

I think I'm gonna respec my vanguard after I have read about this.

The Ammo power info is nice enough. But could someone get an even more detailed version? Something where we can see every rank.

Same here.  I always wanted to use cryo ammo cause I really liked it in ME1, but I always thought that it needed something a little extra (be it + x% damage or something like "x% less accurate for x% time").  But this seems like it will help alot, especially if it slows them getting into cover

Are the making Cryo Ammo even more awesome? I find it makes pretty much all the other squad ammo obsolete, especially on insanity/harder. What I think would be awesome is a "Faster freezing speed" evolution for some nice CQC.

On the other hand, it seems Concussive Shot is swapping places with Adrenaline Rush for SOLDIER POWER SPAM CAPITAL AWESOME TIME.

This might give me a reason to use the Group variation, too. Between you and the squadmates, the enemy will barely be able to move.

I, for one, have never used Cryo Ammo. Idk, I prefer Inferno Ammo and I'm waiting for the full details of it.

I use squad cryo ammo my Vanguard (I like smashing into ice statues) and my Infiltrator if I'm using the Viper (easy headshots plus double damage).

Cryo ammo is good, but biggest flaw to that power is that it needs other ammo powers to be leveled up before can be used.

Also - and maybe this has been covered and I missed it - is Sabotage the new AI Hacking or something?

well duh. you cant learn how to play with ice untill youve learned a little bit about fire.

it makes sense if you dont think about it.

@littlezack: Yes.

I would like it if you could freeze enemies with protections, it just takes longer. Every shot slows them more and more until they can't move because of so much ice. Having cryo affect them at all is still cool, though.

Sabotage or cryo?

- Sabotage is now useful on organic enemies. It overheats weapons and hacks mechs and such.

Power pre-requirements are not in ME3. It's been confirmed that powers will be unlocked via level requirement.

Imo having 2 passives is a waste of points, especially with the new evolution system. they could have made all 6 levels branch (instead of the usual 3) thats plenty of variety for me. Dont get me wrong I can see the possibilities in mixing and machting and the two I just hope we have enough points to around...
