Sorry but looks like the Guardian got killed (probably by flanking gunfire) at the same time as Concussive Shot hits the shield, causing him to drop it. You have to use Biotics to take away the shield from the front.

What happens if you hit a Guardian with a Lift Grenade? Does it just yank the shield away from them or do they get lifted too?

That's good. Since most of us will start at Level 30, I'm at least hoping we don't have half the game's points waiting for us already, since I can feel like there's a bit more of a fun grind going on if I see greater bonuses with successive levels than I 'already have' when I start the game. That and the theory that there'd be more points at latter levels was a very sound one with very good rationale, and it looks like it's coming true.

Does anyone know if the Biotic / cluster grenade is charged by Adept Shep . . . ala Gambit style from Xmen, it sort of looks like it from the vids or am I wrong. . .
Probably not since the button for activating powers has to be hotkeyed to the same button for activating the wheels if you hold it down, and it would be a bit counterintutive if you had to tap once to start charging and then tap again to throw them. And now that I've seen the Cluster Grenade in action my thoughts on it have COMPLETELY...remained exactly the same. Very underwhelming addition to the Adept, not nearly as interesting as Nova. The Vanguard is definitely seeing some favoritism from the devs in my opinion. I'll just have to do more Vanguard runs to give it the attention it deserves.

Hmm. 31 at Level 15. 31 out of an alleged 176, I believe? And 15 out of a definitive 60. Easiest math ever there, we're at one quarter of the way, of course. Hm, about a sixth of the way to that kind of point total though.

I still can't believe that point total. If we consistently get 2 points per level, that would equal 121 points at level 60 (since you start out with 1 point apparently). 121 points seems like the perfect amount to me; you can max out 5 powers and get to Rank 5 with another one. That's pretty much 6 powers, who would actually use more than 6 powers on their character? And if you really want to, you can always go the route of non-specialization and spread points around to get to at least rank 4 with all 9 of them. It only costs 90 points to get to Rank 4 with all of your powers.

They get lifted, that was a VERY effective anti-Guardian strategy when Liara still had those Lift grenades

Yeah, Vanguard got lots of love. It's pretty great. In all fairness, by which I mean with total bias, Vanguard seems like it'd be more fun to design for.

Let's see ( math.. math... ):
Fully upgraded ME1 throw is:
Force: about 2000 Newtons. Radius: 6m. Recharge: 22sec.
( Nemesis+Spectre Training+Savant ).
Fully upgraded ME3 throw is:
1) Force about 1560 Newtons. Radius: N/A. Recharge: 3 sec.
( Biotic mastery+Heavy throw+5 biotic upgrade, aka 50% ).
OR
2) Force about 1320 Newtons. Radius 1.5m, Recharge 3 sec.
( Biotic mastery+Throw field+5 biotic upgrades ).
Just pure stregnth comparisson, without extra special effects. Guess ME3 is not that far behind, in biotic power.
The cooldown is 500% better in ME3, the force is only 25-35% less. Although radius in ME1 is 400% better. Still Throw in ME3 has additional damage and other useful effects. But again ME1 throw isn't stopped by any forms of protection. Hmm..
What would you pick and why?

It's possible that maybe as you get higher in level, the number of points you recieve per level also increases (unlike either ME1 or ME2), but I agree, I think a maximum point total of 120-140 would be the "just right" amount (178 points seemed kind of excessive, since you could upgrade eight powers to Rank 6 and the last power to Rank 4).Biotic Sage wrote...

Agree... Although still, protection system makes me think. I think I wouldn't mind waiting 20 sec instead of 3 sec, if armor/shields didn't matter. And after that I could spam my other powers, since the cooldowns wouldn't be shared.

Engineer Question: I understand why engineers can only have one drone active for gameplay reasons, but have they ever given a lore explanation? They're usually very good about that kind of thing. If not can we come up with one?
Because the drone is connected to the Omni-tool and engeneer controls the drone with his hand. Can't control many toy cars with just one remote right? Not an official reason, just came up with it.

Yeah I mean obviously if that number is correct then that must be the case with more points for higher levels.
And I agree; to me 126 would be "just right" because that's an even 6 powers maxed out with no left over points. That would allow me to have my two passive powers, 3 active powers and 1 bonus power maxed out. And really the gameplay with universal cooldown doesn't facilitate using more than 3 or 4 active powers, so there's no point in having any more points.

Yes but if I can get insta-cooldowns, I can warplose my way through the ennemies: Singularity->Warp>BOOM, it also negates the GCD downside
I can't wait to test my Adept build in the demo !

I wonder if Singularity with implosion upgrade will double implode, and if targets will be warped AND thrown in all directions.

Hmmm, I always thought it was a rudimentary autonomus VI, but I guess that'd be hard to flash forge, wouldn't it? Proably a VI in the Omni-Tool, so Shep doesn't have to babysit it. Thanks.

So? What's the difference with Warp detonation?
No cooldown and limited ammo. In other words it is a massive pile of crap for an adept. Virtually anything would be better, but it looks like the adept is the red headed step child of ME3. No unique powers worth a damn and his new power is a pile of crap that adds nothing to his gameplay. I mean woo hoo a guy who can cause warp bombs every few seconds gets a warp bomb grenade. At least the lift grenade filled in a biotic hole for the sentinel, this thing is just lame. Give liara the damn piece of crap cluster grenade and adept stasis so the people who play adept actually get something worthwhile instead of being a half assed liara.

I think that would be kind of OP; Singulariplosions TWICE in a row !
What I am really curious to known is how Cluster grenades interact with Singularity. I so hope that CG doesn't detonate Singularities, that would be very neat and allows more ways for the Adept to combine powers
