I totaly forgot to use Nova in the demo, drats!
It's hard to use (on Hardcore), but sesnational when it works. Super tactical and great animation. Kinda reminds me of first playing ME2 when it takes a while how best to utilse charge without insta-death.
I like the new Shockwave animation, but didn't level it up much so hard to tell if it will be good.

I used Charge on the Cannibals until the Normandy swooped in and bombed the crap out of everyone. If I have had a shotgun at that moment, I probably could have gone on a while more.
Haha, yeah, that was fun. Anderson snaps at you to get back to cover.

I would expect a level 2 upgrade of pull to modify it like this:Aurellia wrote...
That's all fine and good. Now how would you expect a level 2 upgrade of pull to modify this?
Since it reduces cooldown by 25% it seems like it should this take it to, using your example, 1 = (3/(1+1.4))/1.25
What I observed was that under high weight situations the net effect was to have a 25% modifier affect my delay by ~10% rather than anything close to 25%.
You are right that we don't have all the information but the user interface doesn't make this clear. It says your cooldown time is reduced by 25% and then shows a change from 20 to 18 seconds. This is either a usability bug or a real bug in the math. Either way it should be fixed, IMHO.
CD = (3*0.75) / (1 + 1.4) = 0.93
It seems somewhat logical to me that the cooldown bonus would apply only to the base cooldown, rather than the bonus considering the bonus is relevant to weight only.
You are right though that it should be clear exactly how it's worked out.
You can argue .75 or .8 depending on whether the 25% is in the numerator or denominator. The reason one might argue it is in the denominator is that it is a 25% increase in recovery rate so it would be 3 * (1/1.25).
But in any case using your math makes the issue even larger. If you buy level 2 charge on Sur'kesh your time is nowhere near 75% or even 80% of the orignal time. It is more like 90% of the original time. That's why I'm raising this as a math or UI bug.
Using 75% then a 22 second charge delay should become 16.5 seconds, when it goes down only to 20.
I'll look at this some more tonight when I play.

By the way, the final evolution for Fitness on the Vanguard increases the recharge rate for Charge with 200% whenever you kill an enemy with your heavy melee.
Oh my God.
That's fantastic.

Yep, the Vanguard just dropped it's balls. It's officially the Manguard.

I'm hot for the Manguard. Just sayin'.
Though, they gave the Infiltrator NICE new powers (I mainly play as an Infiltrator). I'm so happy to have Sabotage back, and to have sticky grenades! The sticky 'nades are my new best friends. I hardly ever used grenades in ME1...in ME3, they'll get SO MUCH more use.

Oh yeah, not sure if anyone posted this, but the Infiltrator's Heavy Strike is a back hand strike with the a light blue omni-blade. It's kind of disappointing really.
It's like the engineer's fire melee, only with a double blade type thing and blue energy bolts. I wanted an omni-blade... I think they should've given us a choice. Obviously you shouldn't have a biotic melee if you're not a biotic, but I think an infiltrator should be able to use the omni blade...plus, I was looking forward to it so much because of all the marketing hype.

I'm gonna bet Sentinel spec'd to melee with Fort for bp will end up just barely edging out a similarly-spec'd Vanguard for top honors.
I really hope we can unlock bonus powers early because I already know I wanna try the aforementioned Sentinel with Fort melee build, a Sentinel with Decoy for my ultimate CC build and a master space summoner/Engineer with Defense Drone build. Don't wanna have to do a full playthrough without bonus powers just to get to make the builds I wanna play.

The Pimp-slap with a sword just looks weird though. Honestly, i would've switched the Soldier and Infiltrator's stirkes. A stab just seems to suit the Infiltrator more while the Soldier would slash at the enemy.

I take it the Sentinel's is still the double omniblade thrust and the Vanguard's is that biotic haymaker I saw a gif of floating around?
And what's that heavy melee animation I saw a gif for where dude does like a double cross chop backhand attack? Crosses his arms with two omniblades and then spreads them apart like a reverse scissor while lunging forward, double-b*slapping the enemy. Was that an old animation for one of the classes that they since removed?

I'm still wondering if Adrenaline Rush's base recharge rate was any different before the Sur'Kesh portion of the demo, during the Earth portion where Shepard just has a pistol (might give some idea on how the cooldown percentage increases with 4 weapons equipped for Soldier).

The scissors attack is the Sentinel's melee. They got rid of the thrusting jab attack. No Snakes Alive wrote...

wow thanks a lot for the detail, it's completly overpowered: 90% increased to all damage with rank 4? and a MUCH shorter cooldown than adrenaline rush? seriously is there even a reason a even play a soldier now?
I suppose you wouldn't have some data n the engie sentry turret?

Keep in mind, the recharge speed overall will be heavily nerfed if you carry a lot of weapons with you.

Sorry no Engineer yet (since I've yet to see anyone play an Engineer).
