Ok, since BioWare as now announce it, I think we can now start referring to Secret Squadmate #2 as the Prothean.

What are his other two powers? I found the list of powers but couldn't determine who had what.

I don't know cause I actually don't have the demo's extracted datafile, but it sounded like (from the person I talked to) that he couldn't tell because of how the Powers data is listed since it seems like it's not organized by character.... it's mostly probable that his remaining powers will be 'regular' Biotic powers that Liara or Kaidan don't have (like Pull, Throw, or Shockwave).

I'm also trying to find out if the power "Biotic Focus" that was previously found in the leaked script (which we originally thought was his) was still listed in the data or not.... it may have been just an early power that later got scrapped, like Infiltrator's Lockdown or Adept's Overpower.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing, that's why I was asking if he found something I didn't. It was one of the first things I looked for in the file. You can find mapped powers for Shepard's classes and multiplayer classes, but not the squad members.

AVPen, is there a record of the passive ranks for Multiplayer anywhere in this thread?

No, but I could post the MP class passives that I've earned so far (got an Asari, a Drell, a Krogan, and a Turian.... but no Salarian or Quarian yet, dammit :pinched: ).

AVPen, do you happen to have the base values on these?  Unfortunately I don't have these characters unlocked in MP yet so I can't look.  Also, sounds about right to me for us to start referring to the spoiler squadmate #2 as the Prothean.  That was pretty much the worst kept secret of all time haha.

Had to "nerf" my Krogan Soldier by weighting him down to get his cooldown close enough to 0% to get get near the base recharge rates for Fortification and Carnage:

Fortification  -    (base) 5 second recharge speed, 15% damage reduction, melee damage bonus 50%, melee damage duration 20 seconds

Carnage  -    (base) 10 seconds recharge speed,  354.38 damage, 1m radius

Inferno Grenade  -    (base) 112.5 damage per second, 8 second duration, 5m radius

And as for the class passives in MP, here are the ones that I unlocked:

Asari Justicar  -   (base)  2.50% weapon damage, 10% power damage bonus, 10 weight capacity bonus
Rank 2 -  increase weapon damage bonus by 2.50%

Rank 3 -  increase power damage and force bonuses by 10%

Rank 4 -  increase weapon damage bonus by 7.50%  OR increase power damage and force bonuses by 10%  and increase weight capacity bonus by 20

Rank 5 -  increase power damage and force bonuses by 15% OR increase headshot damage by 20%

Rank 6 -  decrease the weight of heavy pistols by 30% OR increase weapon damage bonus by 10%

Drell Assassin  -   (base)  5% weapon damage, 5% power damage bonus, 10 weight capacity bonus
Rank 2 -  increase weapon damage bonus by 5%

Rank 3 -  increase power damage and force bonuses by 5%

Rank 4 -  increase weapon damage bonus by 7.50%  OR increase power damage and force bonuses by 10%  and increase weight capacity bonus by 20

Rank 5 -  increase power damage and force bonuses by 15% OR increase headshot damage by 20%

Rank 6 -  decrease the weight of heavy pistols by 30% OR increase weapon damage bonus by 10%

Turian Veteran  -   (base)  7.50% weapon damage, 20% weapon stability bonus, 15 weight capacity bonus
Rank 2 -  increase weapon stability bonus by 15%

Rank 3 -  increase weapon damage bonus by 5%

Rank 4 -  increase weapon damage bonus by 7.50% and weapon stability bonus by 10%  OR increase power damage and force bonuses by 10%  and increase weight capacity bonus by 20

Rank 5 -  increase power damage and force bonuses by 15% OR increase headshot damage by 20%

Rank 6 -  decrease the weight of assault rifles by 30% OR increase weapon damage bonus and weapon stability bonues by 10%

Krogan Berserker  -   (base)  2.50% weapon damage, 2.50% power damage bonus, 20 weight capacity bonus
Rank 2 -  increase power damage and force bonuses by 5%

Rank 3 -  increase weapon damage bonus by 5%

Rank 4 -  increase weapon damage bonus by 7.50%  OR increase power damage and force bonuses by 5%  and increase weight capacity bonus by 30

Rank 5 -  increase power damage and force bonuses by 15% OR increase headshot damage by 20%

Rank 6 -  decrease the weight of shotguns by 30% OR increase weapon damage bonus by 10%

I'll try to get the MP version of Fitness and the Krogan's Rage equivalent later.

181

I was wondering something: the base recharge time is the recharge time without any encumbrance bonus ? That's why I have a Singularity rechage time of 1,5s in Earth instead of 4s ?

EDIT: but one thing that bugs me is that nothing has an influence on the cooldown, wether I get the 1st rank onf the class
power or pick the Avenger I still have 1,5s cooldown on the singularity

200% is the maximum bonus you can get to your cooldowns, so even if you have the no gun equipped 200% bonus is going to be the maximum.

You have to have at least one weapon equipped in ME3.

Playing the multiplayer, I found one thing I'm really digging about the new Adrenaline Rush.

Namely the level 6 evolution that gives you +50% shields when you activate Adrenaline Rush. If you've got full shields it gives you a bit of extra survivability whenever you fire up AR (IE 150% shields); but even better it gives AR some functionality as a "save my ass" button. If your shields go down you can fire up AR and restore shields back up to 50% which still leaves you in sketchy territory; but gives you a fighting chance to get back to a defensible position.

I'm definitely taking that evolution of AR in the main game since it effectively makes AR both an offensive and defensive power.

hmm a question, since we know liaras powers and the max squad points available. What do you think is the best way to maximize liara as a effective squadmate. She gets insane sigularity casting speed, or favour satsis over singularity?
Also stasis evolution, decrease recharge speed or no cooldown 30%? i guess no cooldown chance is better.

On my sentinel, adept, and vanguard playthroughs I will max out here singularity and stasis, and I will be taking stasis as my bonus power. That way I can completely lock down a room then use my biotics to detonate everything. On my engineer and infiltrator I will max out stasis and warp and leave singualrity low level because I find stasis far more useful than singalrity this time around, especially since it can be upgraed to stasis bubble that can effect multiple enemies.
also I'm torn between those evolutions too, I hate chances, but the cooldown is so low anyway it might be nice to not have any cooldown at all 30% of the time than to take a fraction of a second off every time.

If we get 181 points in total... how do we spend it. Because it basically means that you can maxout every power and still have 13 points left

Unless BW officially announces the character like they now did with the Prothean, I think it's best to still leave the character referenced as Secret Squadmate #1 for now. :?

A fan extracting dialogue files from the ME3 Demo's data files is NOT the same as BioWare officially announcing a character's presence and purpose in the final game. <_<

He will probably cite the Art of Mass Effect book, which still isn't an official confirmation. I agree it is best to not refer to the secret squaddie by name until the game comes out, since I doubt it will be confirmed between now and then.

Having a hard time deciding where I want to go with Tactical Cloak on my Infiltrator. I love headshot damage, but I like the idea of being able to throw a sticky grenade and fire off an Incinerate all without shedding the Cloak, too.

I'd focus on both, actually - Stasis is godly, but only after you've upgraded it to the Stasis Bubble evolution, plus Liara will be naturally more adept at using Singularity for CC since she can get a massive cooldown reduction for it through her class passive (though Stasis will work through all protections, meaning that it'll be better suited for nastier enemies like Phantoms and Banshees). As far as the cooldown evolution for Stasis, I'd go with the reduced recharge speed one over the possible "30% no cooldown" one (which is sort of a crap-shoot over if it'll happen or not, but the reduced recharge speed will always be constant).

For my own build, I know that I'll be focusing the least amount of points on her Warp Ammo - since Liara is more geared towards being a "caster", I'm not gonna focus a lot into inproving her weapon damage.

err, wouldn't the banshee and phantom just absorb the stasis power like they do others?

Phantom are all about mobility, would be a bit easy if you could just snap freez them and line up an headshot.

talking about stasis is the break on damage thing a hard number or is it a % of target max health?

Stasis works through all protections (shields, barriers, armor) and on MP, a Stasis can completely stop a Phantom with a full barrier dead in her tracks, leaving you with a fair bit of time to kill the b**** :P (or at least, strip her protections and health down enough that by the time Stasis wears off, you'll have a far easier time killing her)

That's disapointing, I know stasis works through protection but I am pretty sure I read that they were supposed to have the ability to absorb biotic power thrown at them , what's the point if they can't absorb the one power that is dangerous for them :/

Are you sure it's 181 points by lvl 60 on singleplayer? That seems to be an awfully high amount seeing as how it will fill up about 8 1/2 powers out of the 8 base plus 1 bonus power.

EDIT: Or is it going to be impossible to actually get to lvl 60 in the vanilla game and they are just leaving themselves room for DLC experience points?

- From Level 1-30, you earn 3 points at Level 1 and 2 points per level through Level 2-30 (for a total of 61 points)
- From Level 31-60, you earn 4 points per level (for a total of 120 points)

EDIT: We don't really know, but it's speculated that it'll be like the leveling system of ME1 and that those who import a Level 30 Shepard will have a chance of reaching Level 60 (while anyone starting the game new at Level 1 won't be able to).
