Wow!  Thank you so much, I had no idea this was out there.  The only Adept gameplay I had seen was from Bioware TV with Casey on stage.  I will add this for sure.

Edit* Nevermind, same footage haha.  Still, thank you.  YouTube format is much nicer.  I added the link next to the Adept's powers.

It seriously makes such little sense to even type out such a waste of words that I assumed you meant Tech powers overall. You seriously want people to take you seriously when you complain about the DAMAGE output on powers that shut down enemies weapons and powers but praise Biotic powers that do the same thing and cause NO damage?

What, did having slight damage added confuse you enough to make you think that it was a main purpose of Tech mines? I seriously just cannot understand the complete absence of logic here. When you have a room full of enemies floating in the air or standing there with their thumbs up their asses, your pistol with Marksman is where you get the damage from.

My god. I'm sorry, Sage. I keep giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he just might be serious this one time and every time I end up looking like I'm really trying to win a slam dunk contest against a paraplegic. This thread was great and I apologize for derailing it. No more feeding the troll.

Nobody is getting paid for anything here. Let's stop acting like we're breaking up a bar fight between Troll and myself - it's not that serious.

And in the midsts of the bickering it's obvious we've both got love for the CC capabilities in ME1. I don't want god mode back where I can have whole rooms floating indefinitely or standing there waiting to die but it'd be cool if CC powers were a little more effective again without having to first rely on direct damage/defense stripping first this time around.

Throw possibly working on Armored foes, Cryo slowing down but not freezing enemies and other such things Bioware seems to be implementing in ME3 look like a perfect balance between what Troll and I usually argue about (protections negating powers vs powers overwhelming protections).

I hope Sentry Turret and Combat Drone together make the Engineer CC king in ME3 (can't forget the return of Sabotage too).

Going the overdramatic route was a bit much, especially after trying to egg me on to try harder and criticizing my reading comprehension skills (which is ironic because that post of mine you quoted had nothing to do with me 'not liking your opinion').

I actually agree with you, bro. Tech damage was certainly insignificant in ME. I just don't see how that's even worth mentioning since that's not what the purpose of those powers was lol.

Regardless, and to steer this back on topic and off butthurt, are you at least happy with the direction Bioware is taking Adepts? Throw having SOME use against protections and maybe no new power to fling at enemies but a mode that should make your existing powers more effective through combo'ing and rapid fire use seems like something even the most cynical Adept fan (you lol) could get behind, amirite?

And I'm pretty sure we aren't the first or last people to have an 'argument' in this forum (lol blonde vs red). At least this one was about the effectiveness of CC powers in their ME1 iterations (related), because Bioware needs to find a balance between that and their comparative ineffectiveness in ME2. Don't get me wrong I loved Cryo blast and the like and I loved Damping and Sabotage too but I really think the sweet spot for CC is directly in the middle of complete lockdown and d-strip-first. And it looks like this game might be on the right track.

PS you must copyright Shepard-ryuken lmao. So win.

the adept is my favorite class, believe it or not. thats why i hate gol danged enemy protections so much!

but yeah, im extremely satisfied with what overpower seems to offer the adept. the evolutions seem promising too. im somewhat more concerned about the whole modding weapons thing, then the capabilities of the adept in ME3. well, and the fact that lift is now a grenade seems a little bogus too.

i really cant wait to play ME3, so i can start forgetting about ME2.

It's
more of a static emplacement... so you deploy it and it hoses down
enemies with engineer-ey death. It's a lot of fun to use in combination
with your tech drone.

I don't think it ever was posted on the pulse feed. I've never seen any ME3 Adept footage on BioWare Pulse, the first time I saw the Adept footage I posted was on Gametrailers. I'm still disappointed that out of the four classes we've seen, the Adept is the only one we haven't seen the Squad Menu. Still better off than the Vanguard and Inflitrator fans though:(.

It's

EDIT: For actual news - Fortitude is now Fitness (a second passive for all classes) and varies per class. From Manveer Heir's twitter:

Interesting. I would like to know what makes it different from class to class. Do some classes get a boost in power damage/duration or something special that only that specific class can receive?

OP, you have my love for everything you're doing.

I would like to suggest that you update with things about the powers that aren't in their actual description. For example, singularity now seems to move as fast as other biotic powers, a significant buff to the adept (you can see this in the video linked above on this page). Just going by the ingame description, one would never realize this. I understand that it might be hard to make these "players notes", due to the limited supply of class videos. But hey, thats why this is just a suggestion, right?

*sigh* yes I probably won't know the awesomenesss of ME1 Biotics, but then again, I'd really rather Bioware focus on ME3 considering Biotics were nearly useless on Hardcore and Insanity unless you had the option to spam warp but then again I think you just proved my point, Bioware wanted a faster paced game so what did they do?
More Enemies- More things to shoot at, Shorter Universal cooldown- meaning you couldn't just spam barrier or immunity to be invincible, and making the biotics less powerfull was, I'll admit, Stupid, but there is a difference between Singularity messing up 3-4 Geth than plopping one in the middle of, say, Garrus' recruitment bridge and watch chaos unfold,
oh, yeah, another thing Bioware, Make Biotics to sh#t against Shields! Barrier I'll let slide since it's INTENDED to halt Biotics, Armor I can sort of get because of the extra weight, you even invented High-Impact specifically to make Armor useless but when EVERYBODY in Mass Effect 2 had shields in Hardcore- or some sort of protection, even Husks- then it's just not fair on Adepts. (Sentinels have the Time of their lives though)
