Considering Garrus is a tech/combat hybrid, it's possible that proximity mines are a combat power instead of tech. Both the Engineer and the Soldier lack proximity mines in the footage they've shown us so I think it's a safe bet that it's one of Garrus' bonus powers.
It definitely is a power for Garrus, but people are curious if it is the infiltrators new power or if it's something else.
Any new info? (discreet bump)

Almost positive it won't be the Infiltrator's new power too. Why would they hold off on official reveals of the Infiltrator and Vanguard's new powers just to finally reveal that they're powers we've already seen a glimpse of?

I don't think it matters all that much in the big picture. It's not like they made a huge deal out of Amplification or Overpower. Bioware understands that these sorts of details are only exciting to a select group of fans, at least prior to release.
Even among the dedicated regulars, it seems that only a few of us actually care about power evolution details. Look at the amount of threads about story, characters, setting, and general lore when compared to the amount of threads about actual gameplay information.

I'm gonna take a guess at the Infiltrator's powers and be the only who remembers and be subsequently embarrassed when I find out how wrong I was when the game comes out.
Disruptor Ammo
Cryo Ammo
(New class power)
Sabotage
Hacking
Cloak
Passive
Fortitude
Sabotage is a combination of Hacking and the original Sabotage from ME1, if I understand correctly.

Maybe I'm just going crazy with anticipation but I remember seeing the Engineers power screen (which I can't find now) and seeing both Hacking and Sabotage on the screen.
Anyway, If you're right about that, I'll switch Hacking with Incinerate.

Hmm, I wonder if the addition of Sabotage means the overheat effects of Overload were removed?
Overload
Rank 2: Damage raised from base x pts to 180 pts
Rank 3: Recharge speed lowered from base x sec to x sec
Rank 4: (10% more dmg and power jumps to 1 other target for x% less dmg) vs. (Increases damage by x amount)
Rank 5: (???) vs. (???)
Rank 6: (???) vs. (???)
^Quoted from OP in this thread. Looks like they've removed the 'weapon overheat' function from Overload. A good thing, IMO...no one ever used Overload for the weapon overheat anyways.

So I am assuming Fortitude for the soldier is the same as the loyalty power for grunt? If that is the case OMG that would be BEAST!
No. You're thinking of Fortification. Fortitude is called Fitness now, and is a passive ability that each class has. Fitness is complicated in that each class has its own version.

Why is the Sentinel's version called Fortitude as well?
Fitness is apparently shared by all classes and is just a way to passively increase durability. I'm pretty sure it functions differently for each class (Soldier for example, probably gets significantly more health from their version of Fitness than an Engineer); at least, that's what we've been lead to believe from dev comments. I'm also pretty sure that they won't rename 6 different versions of a power that is basically the same concept for each class, but I could be wrong.
Nothing is set in stone on the powers front yet though, so we'll wait and see.

It's a passive ability that all classes have, though each class has a different version of it.

Oh, really?Well thanks for letting me know.
Guess i'll have to take 200% health bonus instead of a shield boost lol.
I know, what a drag.

Anyone want to guess how the Fitness passive and class Mastery passives will be different?
Also possible passive evolutions

My personal hope is that Fitness allows all classes to stay in the fight longer. I wonder if all evolutions will be different for every class, or if there will be some overlap.

I guess I made a really good choice in class after all. I was torn between this and Infiltrator.

Speaking of Sentinels, does anyone know how many powers console players will be able to map in ME3? That factor's gonna go a long way in determining whether or not I choose to play Sentinel; if I can only map Cryo Blast, Throw, and either Tech Armor or Amplification, thats probably not gonna fly. I'm hoping for four powers mapped instead of three this time.
Also, inb4getitforpc. I don't wanna map 50 powers either lol. Four would probably bs the sweet spot for me, at least with Sentinels where three won't cut it any more.
