Sentinel really looks like a tank now.

I guess I made a really good choice in class after all. I was torn between this and Infiltrator.

Speaking of Sentinels, does anyone know how many powers console players will be able to map in ME3? That factor's gonna go a long way in determining whether or not I choose to play Sentinel; if I can only map Cryo Blast, Throw, and either Tech Armor or Amplification, thats probably not gonna fly. I'm hoping for four powers mapped instead of three this time.

Also, inb4getitforpc. I don't wanna map 50 powers either lol. Four would probably bs the sweet spot for me, at least with Sentinels where three won't cut it any more.

Until now, it's the same as in ME2: 3 mapped powers. The contrary hasn't been announced and I doubt they change it. We'll see.

Four mappable powers would be much better than three on the caster classes. I would love singularity, pull, warp and throw on my adept. Please make it happen bioware!!!!

4 is the perfect number for ME2.

ME3 is gonig to need more then 3. ive got singularity, overpower, and then 1 more active ability, and thats it? i rarely go into the powerwheel, so its almost like every power i have thats not on hotkey, is totally worthless for me. i simply wont go into the power wheel, look for pull, and use it, instead of just hitting RB and lobbing a throw instead.

is fortification going to negate the need for barrier or even tech armor?

It would be great if the class power wasn't by default a mapped power too

More mappable options would be ideal, but you are right.  At the very least we should be able to map any power to the Y/Triangle button.  I see no reason not to give that option, even if you aren't going to change the ME2 control scheme at all.

Seems it isn't.

Weapon powers back? I don't think so. Squadmate exclusive power? Yup. Possible bonus power? HELLYEAH.

Given what we know, Carnage in ME3 may be related to Carnage in ME1 by name only. But I do think it will have something to do relating to a shotgun. and/or explosions.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure there was a way around that in ME2. If you retrain powers and only put points into one of your other powers (not your class exclusive), you could then map that power to the button usually reserved for class powers. Then I'm pretty sure you can go ahead and put points into other powers and map those and finally put points into your class exclusive and the others should remain mapped as before.

Like I said, though: I could be wrong. It warrants testing/confirmation.

@ZacheryW Carnage is just a power. Whatever weapon you have you have. It doesn't fire when you fire you gun. Works like concussive shot

James Vega just got Carnage as a power. Him along with Garrus are now my main wrecking crew for #ME3.

I wonder if Ashley and Kaidan will have different bonus powers to offer Shepard or will they share the same bonus power.

it's likely they'll have different bonus powers, considering that they're two different classes.

It would be cool if NPC would have true class exclusive powers like they did in ME1.

Well, Liara can use Singularity and Kasumi sort of had Tactical Cloak.

I gotcha. ME3 Liara does have access to arguably the two best biotic powers: Singularity and Stasis.

Charge would probably be a disaster for teammate AI. Tech Armor could be useful for a Sentinel, but it would likely hinder their other abilities (similar to Barrier/Fortification in ME2) unless they have significant cooldown bonuses.

Tactical Cloak would most likely be akin to Charge, in that the teammates AI wouldn't be able to use it effectively.

Tali and Legion both have Combat Drones.

IDK. I like that teammates have unique powers of their own.

A teammate with Charge is a recipe for disaster.  I don't care how much they say they've improved squad AI.  My bet is that they won't be able to handle close combat effectively on higher difficulty levels, especially with the typical recharge increase that squadmate versions of powers receive.

Why charge be a disaster for squad AI, wouldn't they respond the same as enemy AI that have charge , (ala Shadowbroker DLC )

she couldnt charge anywhere she wanted, i dont think, i think she had designated spots she charged to instead of picking apropriate spots. allowing the squad to have charge would completely negate every other ability they have. do i use throw, or have my ally charge in break fools faces, and then do it again. my adept cant even use its biotics correctly, so lets bioware figure that out before they start giving allies more goodies.

also wanted to aski, whats the difference between concus shot and carnage? id think cunc shot + ammo powers would be all the ability you need. its a debuff and a CC all in one. maybe carnage also regens health too for some random unrelated reason.

I always felt Jack should have had charge. LotSB showed it to be viable, albeit unbalanced (the 1st boss fight was not between equal character stats, The boss had way more shields and health than Shepard or squaddies).

I don't see why charge for squadmate would be difficult , it would work on the same/similar principle as Kasumi's. Shadow strike or Grunt when he charges but only faster with a longer cooldown , between 9 - 12sec . At least that's my thinking
