youd rather have overload arch instead of being insta cast? i dont think curving powers makes sense for anything except pull and throw. instacast would work better in every other situation.

and why does charge work through cover, but throw doesnt?

I THINK what he means is an Overload that works like the Arc Projector, jumping from enemy to enemy.

He means Overload 'arcing' between multiple targets, similar to the Arc Projector.

a small find from the twitter thread
http://social.biowar...dex/7358840/248

"Cloak is lot more useful now. You are able to toggle it off at will which shortens the cooldown. Nice synergy with big slow guns."

Lol win. Cloak was already the most useful power in the game once they released the GPS, but this sounds like a pretty sweet idea to me.

I wonder if they can make the Tech Armor do some teamwork with other powers or guns instead of just being a powerhouse on its own.

Yeah, that's what I meant.  I could have made that clearer.

It would be neat if Tech Armor had some affect on other tech abilities while active, like stat increases/decreases or shorter/longer cooldowns. Perhaps it could add tech damage to biotics as well.

Depending on how you view it, Tech Armor already synergizes with powers.  Assault Armor synergizes particularly well with shotguns, allowing you to survive in close combat longer than most other classes.  Shotguns require you to get close enough to get the most out of your Tech Armor's explosion.

And then there's Power Armor, which adds damage to other powers you use.

I'm not sure that there's room for much more synergy.

Guys, get ready for a new power. Over at the Twitter Thread, there's tweets that speak about a new power of the Vanguard, Nova. I read something about it being on a BW Pulse episode, but there's no official release date. :( One of the devs said something about seeing a Shotgun with Inferno Ammo > Charge > Nova combo.

(Too lazy and sleepy to copy/paste the tweets, sorry)

Hey guys, do you think it will be hard to mod the game so that all the upgrades for powers could taken at the same time?

I just saw this on the Twitter thread.

NOVA!!!  Must be the new Vanguard power.  Sounds f*cking awesome is all I have to say.  My guess is it's a close range biotic burst that radiates from your entire body.  Maybe it's something even cooler...although what would be cooler than that I just don't know.

Soooooo excited.

I'm wondering if enemies will have abilities like overload or throw, similar to ME1 , back then enemy techs could over heat weapons, ME2 you only had biotic enemies throw warp , and tech's with droids and incinerate.

Sounds like Nova maybe a flaming charge, vanguard covered in flame from the inferno ammo power maybe? Just my guess . . .

Agreed. I was hoping for some sort of ground-pound that creates a Shockwave around Shepard and it sounds like we may just be getting the Shockwave/pulse type attack after all, albeit probably without the badass slam-your-fist-into-the-floor-to-cause-it part. I'll take it either way!

Now for evolutions, I'm hoping for either some sort of antigravity one that causes any unprotected surrounding enemies caught in the blast to biotically fly into the air in slow mo like they got hit by a Lift or Heavy Charge or something... OR... have an evolution like Concussive Shot where the Nova blast takes on the effect of the active Ammo Power (freezes enemies caught in it or sets them aflame in a blaze of glory).

Of course it could be something entirely different than what we're speculating, but with a name like Nova I'd be majorly surprised if it wasn't some sort of burst of death for surrounding enemies.

nova could just be one of their new terms of what happens after charge explodes. in the same way warp explosions were termed for ME2.

i like the circular biotic burst idea, kindof like the sentinels tech armor pulse. the vangaurd being the ultimate in CQC, itd make sense to give it a "get away from me" ability to its surrounding enemies. perhaps its the vangaurds version of throw.

I might actually use the Vanguard in ME3. In ME2, I didn't like just using one power all the time, Charge. I like to use an arsenal of attacks to decimate my opponents, or just the guns for the soldier class.

I love using the soldier, in a world where everyone has powers he has to rely on timing and raw fire power and brute force, I thin out the masses with sniper rifle move in mid with AR, switch to pistol to take down defenses on the few that's left , charge in with shotty to fin them off, don't get me wrong love other classes but #1 IS soldier , followed by infiltrator and vanguard then sentinel , the other classes I never had interest in , soldier reminds me of being Batman , in a world full of super beings he still the most deadly around , because he prepares for all situations.

No problem.  I've been ready and willing to add in any new information that comes up about powers but there's been an unbearable dead-zone ME3 news period in the last month.  As soon as they throw us a bone here, I'll be all over it.

Yeah, haven't been here for a week and there's nothing new. We'll have to wait for October 25th :bandit:

They're cutting it very close to Skyrim time with their new wave of reveals.  With my two jobs plus Skyrim (which will probably cut into my sleep and add up to more hours than both jobs combined haha) I hope I can keep up with all of the new power info.  I may need some help in November.

I always rant about Adepts, the favorite class. =)
Does anybody know if power damage by percent augmentation is back to biotic mastery?
I found it odd that Biotic mastery in ME2 augmented health and paragon/renegade, and no damage augmentation seemed out of place.
I think Paragon/renegade or Health shouldn't be affected by mastery. Each level of biotic mastery should make recharge time faster, damage/kinetic force greater by percent, also the melee hit that the Adept has should probably become stronger.  Bastion is the greatest recharge time, while Nemesis is greatest damage.
Or are there 3 evolutions to biotic mastery now aswell?
Health kinda falls better under Fitness category.
And Paragon/renegade shouldn't be in the skills at all, but rather stay as points, without augmentation, it was something extra/unneeded in ME2 imo.
