Some new Power screen shots leaked from the beta. We get our first glimpse of ammo power evolutions. Sadly no one I have seen has gone down deep into the talent trees to see what everything does.

Some other interesting things I saw: (1) Disruptor Ammo now works on Biotic Barriers, which doesn't really make a lot of sense and (2) Armor Piercing Ammo (Garrus' Power) can now go through cover, which is just sweet.

well barriers seemed to me as being a quite similar concept to shields (one biotic and the other tech), it still odd to see how electricity charged bullets affect biotics. Ammo evolutions seem to me to be divided between damage and utility, like inferno choosing either damage or area explosion (for cc)

It could be contrivedly explained as a disruption from the bullets of the biotic amp needed to sustain barrier, maybe.

You do know that this could easily be a gameplay mechanic?

Seriously after ME2's ridculous armor is immune to most biotic attack crap why would their be a lore explanation for this?

Thanks a lot for the info!  I will be adding all of this in as soon as I can; definitely within the next day or two.

That's awesome news about Disruptor Ammo; what a waste of a power in ME2, especially since it was a pre-requisite to the better ammo powers.  Biotic barriers are basically just biotically boosted shields, so it makes sense to me.

I noticed that a lot of people didn't go through the power evolutions at all. Had I had access, that's surely what I would have done.

Thanks, Janus. It's interesting to see that Incendiary Ammo now has a 15% panic rate. I appreciate the increased stat transparency over ME2, but I wonder how this will play out with rapid fire weapons vs. slower firing weapons.

Funny thing is, thanks to all this new info from the leaked beta on the Soldier's power evolutions, I'm already in the process of planning out how I'll be upgrading my "canon Soldier" John Shepard once I import him into ME3. B)

Oh, another thing I noticed from one of the beta leak videos - Liara no longer has Lift Orb/Grenade, but now has Warp Ammo in it's place (along with Singularity, Stasis, Warp, and Biotic Training).

Although the player didn't look into it's evolutions, he did browse over the skill which showed that Liara's Warp Ammo defaults at:
Health & Armor Damage = 10%
Barrier Damage = 20%
Armor Weakening = -20%
Lifted Target Damage = 25%

Other new Power evolution notes:

Proximity Mine (Garrus's version)
1. Proximity Mine (opens up the power)
2. Recharge Speed (25% increase to recharge)
3. Damage (20% increase to damage)
4. Damage (30% increase to damage)  OR  Impact Radius (40% increase to impact radius)
5. Damage Taken (enemies in the blast zone take 25% more damage from all sources for 8 seconds)  OR  Slow (foes caught in the blast are slowed by 30% for 8 seconds)
6. Damage (?)  OR  Improved Mine (?)

I just wish someone would look at the evolution of Adrenaline Rush! It's like the class defining skill of a Soldier! Come on people!

Whlie I didn't read any story spoilers from the leaked story line, I couldn't resist reading the list of powers, weapons, and enemies at the top. It really didn't say much it did list some of the evolutions of the Sentry Turret, including turret cryo ammo or turret disrupter ammo and turret rocket or turret shock :D

Same here.  I used it mostly as squad cryo in ME2, but I think that I might have to try using it for just my power and have my two squadmates use ammo powers that are good against defenses, see how the synergy of that works.

Same here.  I used it mostly as squad cryo in ME2, but I think that I might have to try using it for just my power and have my two squadmates use ammo powers that are good against defenses, see how the synergy of that works.


Cryo ammo does have that tempting "Damage Combo" evolution for its final rank.  I can't pass up maximizing damage...my squadmates will have to do without the ice ammo so that I can have the ultimate weapon.

I'm interested to see what freeze chance means. I'm currently blindly speculating that it has a chance to freeze armored enemies, but I doubt that. I want to see what the damage combo evolution does when applied, although I'm sure I will get around to using both.

I have seen some pretty interesting passive evolutions that are tied to the heavy melee. Like killing an enemy with the heavy melee increases melee damage by 75% for 30 seconds or gives a weapon damage increase by 20% for 20 seconds.

I was able to catch a glimpse of stasis. It now says that damaging the target has a chance of releasing them. So they're not immune anymore you just risk freeing them up in exchange for a cheap shot.
