Personally I think it would be cool to make Heavy Weapons exclusive for Soldiers.  They just don't seem to fit with any of the other classes' m.o.'s.

My Vanguard would like a word with you sir.  Something about "Cain to the Face" followed by "Biotic Charge to the Face" followed by "Shotgun to the Face".

What?  Why are you looking at me like I'm crazy?  Is it because I charged the Colosus on Insanity?  Doesn't everyone do that?

There's one evolution that gives you a melee jump (you pretty much lunge at the enemy) and another one that gives you slow motion every time you kill someone with the Heavy melee.

Warp can be upgraded to do more damage against shields and Pull and Stasis can be upgraded to drain their targets of health and shields.

If Push could be made to be not quite so useless, that'd be just grand.

over the last several weeks there has been alot of talk on what powers effect what defenses, not just on this thread but others, but anyway one was that in ME3 disruptor ammo and overload working on barrier and not just shields but in ME2 , those powers have always worked on those items, just as incinerate works on shields, just because the enemy has defenses for that power does not mean it can't be used against it, that power
may be lite up in red , but it can still can be used , it may not be as effective but it still had an effect . . .
So my question is when ppl use powers do they not use them until the defenses are wiped clear?

n enemies defense

Well, I use Reave on everything. After all you're right, it is minimal but there is still an effect on the protection.

From the leak, it would appear that Nova is a power that transfers your barrier power into a CQC damage attack. I'm not sure if that means you lose your barriers, but the damage seems to increase the stronger your barriers are. Given that charge refills barriers, this would seem to be a pretty awesome new vanguard power.

Looking at some of power evolutions in the leak, and damn!!! I defintely like some new things the devs are doing, especially with shockwave for example. It seems you can evolve it to become lifting shockwave which makes it so that enemies hit by it are left floating in the air for a brief tim.

I found a Infiltrator power called Lockdown, which immobilizes the enemy completely, making him/her unable to move or fire for a certain time and it only works while you're cloaked.

That sounds pretty cool.  Can you find a screenshot of the power?

It's in the leaked script, so no. :P

I have found some pretty interesting passive powers for the characters too.

Most of them involves a booster of some kind, like Tali's passive power, which gives the whole squad a boost to tech powers or Biotic Aura, which Shepard can evolve to give the squad a boost to biotic powers.

It's actually more in your favor to bring certain characters that fits your approach this time.

Right, I keep forgetting about that.  Once I heard about it, I got alot more cautious
of reading ME3 related stuff.  I'm glad theyre addinging more squad
boosting abilities.  it always annoyed me that Miranda was the only
person with that in ME2.

And as for the infiltrator power, is it safe to assume that it is their new power?  You said "a Infiltrator power" so I can't tell for sure if that's what you meant.

There is also reference to a power that allows infiltrators to use any power while cloaked...although it was not listed with upgrades, so part of me thinks it could be an evolution of Lockdown. Hmm.

This is amazing! Where did you get these powers? In the leaked script? How? - I don't want to read the script for story spoilers, but ability spoilers are alright - I figure I can just prepare my shepard ahead of time with abilities and get the most out of the game. I know there were some abilities in ME2 I didn't realize worked a certain way (sentinel shield recharging squadmates abilities) until wayyyy late in the game. I don't want a repeat of that. I always wondered why my sentinel just wasn't fun.

Looks like the Vanguard's new power Nova is finally showcased in the new Bioware Pulse episode.

Other points of interest:

- Nova (expends barrier but does high damage close range)
- Adept heavy melee (more details)
- Overload with the chain evolution
- Krogan shotgun (Graal; highly accurate, causes bleeding damage)
- Sabotage
- Cerberus engineers
- Sentry turret

I wish we could have seen the Infiltrator's heavy melee and more about Nova, but this is still great stuff.

Sounds like it's in your favor to do Nova first and then Charge to regain the shields you lost using Nova. Unless Nova puts a cooldown on you.

Nova does not put you on cooldown, so yes you can Nova then Charge right away to regain your shields, then Nova again! :)

Makes the Vanguard feel very aggressive but always close to death.

So it's only limited to the strength of your shields?

No cooldown? Sweet.
