Not if you roll as a sentinel yourself.
In which case, you'll get even more shield points and tech damage.
I second this. My canon Shephard is a Sentinel!

Which is not nearly as big of a weak point as your weapon damage. Which of course is more/less useful depending on your build, gameplay style, etc.Someone With Mass wrote...

I think a lot of people would do that if this stuff is confirmed to be true. Lets hope the time paradoxes don't stack to the point where it rips the fabric of ME's time and space.Boost32 wrote...

Serious now, I really love what they have done with the powers this time especially the tech powers. It is very reminiscent to ME1 but with similar structure to ME2.

I'm just bringing up the point that Ashley can certainly find a useful role in your squad.

There was definitely some griping, and there still is, but we're mostly accepting of the fact that BioWare couldn't get Amplification to work right. Better to take grenades along for the journey instead rather than pack an ability that isn't properly calibrated.
Twelve was too many anyway. And no, that does not include the DLC squaddie.implodinggoat wrote...
SIX?! Down from 12. What the hell, things just get worse and worse. Does that include the DLC squaddie too?
**** that means, I've got Liara, Tali, and Garrus which I like. Kadien who's dull as hell or Ashley who I don't like and who's worthless to me on the battlefield. Vega who seems dull and has a stupid hair cut and one mystery character who may or may not ****** me off.

I technically counted the VS as one character, so the ME3 squadmate list would include seven characters:daqs wrote...

Yeah, misquoted, meant to say seven.Someone With Mass wrote...
Actually, they're eight if you count the VS as two squadmates.

Okay... sounds like you have some personal issues with the character that I can't help you with.implodinggoat wrote...
I don't see it. To me Ashley sounds like she'll be useless just like in ME1. Garrus gives you the weapon damage and he has tech abilities and he's a more interesting character. Vega gives you weapon damage and he's a tank so he can draw fire, Ashley is only good for passively sitting in the back while she cherry picks my kills and calls me a traitor to the Alliance.

Twelve may have been too many although I personally enjoyed the variability; but halving it to 6 is going too damn far.
At least the DLC squaddie ups it to 7; but still this is very dissapointing. I mean for Christ's sake I don't even have a Krogan or a Sentinel anymore.

Too bad, then.
Doesn't take away the fact that there is a Sentinel squadmate in ME3.
