I have found the names and descriptions for several class passives of what I believe to be NPC characters, but no evolution Ranks associated with them apart from those "Weapon Ranks" which reduce the weight of a weapon class for each character - that "Rage" power that I listed on the previous page was the only power I found associated with a specific NPC class passive (and that was really dumb luck to find that one).

 I don't like these progressions. There are too many times I find 2 choices that I really like and two choices that I could care less about. It would be nice if we could choose an evolution from all six options every time. Like for example:

( Bold is what I want to take )

Singularity  
Rank 2: Duration increased by x%
Rank 3: Radius increased by x%
Rank 4: [Radius increased by x%] -or- [Duration increased by x%]
Rank 5: [Recharge reduced by x%] -or- [Targets affected take x% more dmg. from weap/biotics]
Rank 6: [Radius increased by 50%] -or- [Implosion at end of duration with a force of xN] 

Shockwave
Rank 2: Recharge reduced by x%
Rank 3: Force increased by x%
Rank 4: [Force increased by x%] -or- [Radius increased by x%]
Rank 5: [Travel Speed increased by x%] -or- [Range increased by x%]
Rank 6: [Recharge reduced by x%] -or- [Lifts targets hit for x sec]


And etc.

A shame I have will have to take something I could care less about every time, and select between 2 good choices the other time.

sorry if this is a dumb question but do we know for sure if weapon will works against defenses the same way they did in ME2? Are we still forced to use submachine gun versus shield and pistol versus armor or are we free to chose this time?

You aren't forced of anything, but yeah, rapid-firing guns will be better angainst shields, etc...

Yes, it's now Biotic focus, a rumored power for the DLC squatemete

It's an interesting power, but I wouldn't want it on my adept skillset as a base power, l'm more excited about the cluster grenade and its possible applications.

But I might use it as a bonus power, since the other biotic bonus powers doesn't interest me that much.

Anybody knows the update on this? Is one of the squadmate's power is a bonus power? (It seems pretty weird for Liara to have both Warp and Warp Ammo from the beginning) and we can use the bonus power for Shepard?

Also anybody up to date with import mechanics? From what I read in the Known Features thread, you goes to ME3 as the same level in ME2. So will your skill points will get reset? And is there any bonus for keeping to the same class?

It is still a bonus power? Then the problem is solved, as long as I can get it. :) 

But you really think that a biotic grenade is more useful than removing shared cooldowns from all biotic powers?

It's unknown, but in the Sur'kesh demo, the squademates have their 4 powers unlocked, as for Shepard, it's rumored that each squademete give two bonus powers to Shepard (Stasis/Warp ammo for Liara, Defense drone/Energy drain for Tali, etc...)

You keep your level, but it's likely that your skill progression will be reseted, we don't know for sure how it'll works,

Yes, because I might be able to remove the GCD problem by other means (cooldown-reduction power evolutions, smallest weapon loadout)

I think you mean Stasis and Warp Ammo from Liara, she has Singularity but it is 'not' a bonus power. That's an Adept only for Shep.

And you can put points and make your powers super strong with longest cooldowns, and then use overpower. :)

But ok, fair enough. 

I heard that grenade lifts targets that still have shields/armor intact. Is that true?

Well it's a matter of playstyle, I'm excited to make a very combo-able Adept, so I don't worry about the power damage that much, keep in mind that's just how I see it ;)

Not for the cluster grenade, however it's how the Sentinel's Lift grenade/orb/whatever works, we only have a vague dev tweet as a clue to how it works

Not sure what you are talking about. :huh:

I don't think there is a passive that removes all the shared cooldowns.

Well a passive power can't do the same thing as a hyper/god mode...unless the devs really didn't care about balance and wanted to make the Adept be in hyper mode all the time.  I'm guessing you mean the Adept's passive power of Biotic Mastery does the same things (reduced cooldowns, makes powers more *ahem* powerful); yes it does, but obviously to a lesser degree, otherwise the class would be overpowered (pun intended) and broken.

Nothing that wipes the entire cooldown but in Biotic Mastery - Rank 5: [Power Recharge reduced by x% when biotic combo] -or- [Power Dmg./Force incr. by up to x% for a full barrier]

You can decide to go with reduces cooldown anytime you do a combo, or up dmg/force of powers if you haven't been hit recently (have max barriers). Not 100% sure what kind of stuff is in the fitness skill but from the other fitness skills we saw there was stuff like... Vanguard getting %cooldowns off charge if you killed with a heavy melee. Possible there's more stuff like that in Adepts Fitness skill.

I personally plan to carry around just a pistol on my Adept. Should keep his weight incredibly low which should result in 25-30% toward global cooldowns. Add to that all the other % and I can see you being able to spam rather continuously.

My Shepard is going to carry around a slingshot to be even less encumbered!  Hell, he might even get rid of that and carry around a single toothpick just for heavy melees; the rest can be done with biotics.
