Dude, if I could go in with out any weapons - I would. Just throw Biotics and use the heavy melee hehe. Singularity, walk up - HM the group.

I personally plan to carry around just a pistol on my Adept. Should keep his weight incredibly low which should result in 30% toward global cooldowns. Add to that all the other % and I can see you being able to spam rather continuously.

Yeah, I'll do the same, that Arc pistol to eat shields, and continuously biotic mayhem, I'm very interested about that Biotic mastery evolution witch reduces cooldown when you do biotic combos, specially when the overall combo potential has been increased.

Well a passive power can't do the same thing as a hyper/god mode...unless the devs really didn't care about balance and wanted to make the Adept be in hyper mode all the time.  I'm guessing you mean the Adept's passive power of Biotic Mastery does the same things (reduced cooldowns, makes powers more *ahem* powerful); yes it does, but obviously to a lesser degree, otherwise the class would be overpowered (pun intended) and broken.

Yeah, that's the one.

I think a passive power like that is better.

Would be nice if Adept could go without weapons and a regular basic attack would be warp. No cooldowns, just a warp once in 1,5 sec every time a button is pressed. =)

Yeah same here, kinda curious what all of them are. I think using throw at anything under the effects of Singularity/Lift will count as one. Though Throw its self has a 'instantly resets cooldown' rank if you hit it while its under the effects of that stuff too. Which is something I really wanna do again.

It's a little silly but Throw spam is probably my greatest joy when I play Adepts, and I'm not sure why.

Warp/Singularity/Biotic Focus should pretty much cover me most of the time.  I'm actually considering Shockwave this time around; I'll have to see how much its effectiveness has actually been improved before I make my decision.  Pull and Throw just don't appeal to me on Adept when I have superior versions of both.  And Biotic Grenade can sit the bench.

No luck. :P

To unlock Shockwave and singularity you still have to put points into throw and pull. Or did they lift that from ME3? :)

Not only that, but they are now faster! So no waiting half year until the projectile reaches it's point of destination and no time for the enemy to take cover so that the projectile hits the wall instead. ^_^

@D.Kain: That's been removed, powers have a level 'requirement' but that's it. And all that's finished by the time you hit 20, can save points as always. So you can just go ahead and ignore anything you don't want, completely.

That said the max skill points at lvl 60 is 178 last tweet check (week ago) which maxes out 8 powers with the 9th power at rank 4 (with no points left over). Meaning by 60 your gonna have a point in everything anyways.

I noticed "Neural Shock" in the list of ability descriptions. I loved this ability back in ME1 but it doesn't actually list it under any companions or classes. Is this just a NPC ability or does anyone actually have this?

It was an ability listed in the script with all of the other ones.  As for who has it, my guess would be a temporary squadmate who is with you for 1 or 2 missions (as you recall they have said that we will have many instances like this a la Lair of the Shadow Broker, so these temporary henchmen will be in addition to the 7 permanent ones).

Ah, alright. That would make sense.
Probably someone like Mordin, did always like that after you get him loyal you can get the ability for Shep.

Oh well.

Where's this idea that Biotic Focus is just Overpower come from? This is Biotic Focus is it not:

Biotic Focus

Increases the potency of your powers and resets the cooldown of offensive powers for all squadmates.

Rank 2: Recharge reduced by x%
Rank 3: Damage of Next Offensive Power incr. by x%
Rank 4: [Dmg./Force of N.O.P. incr. by x%] -or- [Dmg./Impact Radius of N.O.P. incr. by x%]
Rank 5: [Pwr. Dmg. incr. by x% / Force incr. by x% for x sec] -or- [Pwr. Dur. incr. by x% / Imp. Rad. incr. by x% for x sec]
Rank 6: [Power Recharge reduced by x% for x sec] -or- [Recharge reduced by x%]

That makes it sound like it gives a damage boost to yourself and at the same time resets your squads cooldown, which isn't remotely akin to removing shared cooldowns?

So I've been thinking about some more cool Infiltrator builds, and I think a sticky bomb focused build would be awesome. Put points in Cloak, sticky grenade, take Proximity Mine as a bonus power, and then roll out with the Scorpion pistol and the one assault rifle that also fires sticky grenades.

That way, you could cloak, run near a group of enemies, plant a mine, stick one of them, decloak, and then hammer the survivors with sticky bombs from your pistol/AR. Not the best build, but it sounds fun as hell! Any takers?

Taken.  I had an idea with a similar concept (using an explosive power while cloaked), but not That many explosions.  I will definitely be trying this out.

I was thinking of a soldier build that for the most part forgoes AR (way over used, granted because it is useful) and goes more for ammo powers/grenades and having Very specialized weapons (sniper that has as much anti-armor capabilities as possible, AR that does as much damae vs shields/barriers, etc).  Basically make yourself a swiss army knife of getting through defenses.

Yeah it's not the same, other then boosting your next power - when you could of used that same power twice in a row instead is... I dunno. Really nice for resetting squad powers?

Since its a squad power by default I wonder if them using it resets 'your' cooldowns? If so that'd be something. Something pretty awesome. Though I dislike choosing squadies based off there powers, or relying on them in that manner. Even on insanity, not sure why.

The only reason I'm loooking at shockwave is because biotic grenade sounds so lame I wont put a point into it.  But hey if they made shcokwave cool this time I'm all for it.

itll still be somewhat of a waste if your squeazing out a cooldown with a basic version of shockwave instead of your fully upgraded singularity or warp. even so shockwave/pull/throw will rarely be enough of a reason to not use singularity or warp(even considering ill have a biotic squadmate so warpsplosions are more prominent).

biotic focus might be a worth while ability it makes a difference in terms of biotic potency. im not looking for quicker cooldowns to get quicker stagger, im hopin for throw to throw some MFers around while 'biotic focus' is activated. i mean if your playing an adept, your lookign to be the best biotic, so i dont see how a single adept player would benefit more form another ability outside of biotic focus!

the grenade sucks. id rather the iconic adepts feature biotic focus(duh), stasis(best biotic single target CC in game), warp ammo(waht adept/sodlier wouldnt learn warp ammo?), and barrier (considering barrier gives a boost to biotics). unless biotic grenade creates a bubble of "biotic aura" and when im using my biotics in the area, they become GODLIKE and work on protections. then and only the will i ever be happy with biotic grenade.

It's either something really, really disturbing or... its like any other 'sticky' grenade, and it sticks to surfaces/people instead of bounce. My guess is the latter, it sticks to walls/ground/people instead of bounce around.

Not sure what else it will do with upgrades and such but I'm guessing that's its base functional difference compared to other base grenade or other grenade powers.

I'm not too excited about that sticky grenade, might be fun, but I play Infiltrator mostly for sniping from range.
