Trust me, a lot of us are really, really close to it. I personally know legions of fans are pissed in the Bethesda's forum with some vowing the series is dead and they will only be watching cutscenes on YouTube to see how the story ends.
er... why? Becuase of all the Omni-blades in Skyrim?
Edit: Oh, you mean a thread about Mass Effect 3 on the Bethesda forums. Never mind

They make a poll on that huh?
I don't know if one was made. People were saying they weren't too mad at how agility and speed were removed or how the School of Mysticism was removed and magicka in that category transferred to make the other Schools of magicka more thick and efficient. I agreed...soul trap fits perfectly into the Alteration category. Anyways, someone brought up ME2 and ME3 and it got shredded. By ME fans, too. The thread eventually got locked by a mod.

Please. There's a thread right below this one showcasing the improved class evolutions in ME3 - there's a hell of lot more to the game than the omni-blade. Just some people don't want to look, because it's much easier to ignore and make endless threads about how they're not showing anything of the RPG elements and how much they hate this and that.

Forums sometimes attract overreactive nitpickers that can't handle any sort of change at all. We don't know how well the omni-blade is going to work until we try it ourselves, it is one thing to watch it in a demo it is another to play it yourself. And seriously the bethesda forums? Who cares what the bethesda fans think, this is mass effect 3 not skyrim. I am excited about skyrim but it has nothing to do with mass effect.

That says less about the omni-blade and more about the overreactive nature of 'fans' in general.
I think its more just taste in which gameplay mechanics they like, dislike, expect and don't expect. Why play a game that doesn't play how you want it to?

So the marketing sucks... nothing new there for Bioware.
But w.e, the recent flood of news concerning the evolution of powers, level 60 caps, and armor customization for squadmates doesn't matter. Instead, we should complain about the MARKETING for ME3.
After all, it's the marketing that counts in the end, right?
