What does one picture prove? Just like a Desert Eagle, it is an illogical loadout. Desert Eagles have no tactical efficieny and are widely regarded as a show gun, yet you see some people in the force using them. The fact of the matter is that it wouldn't logical to dual wield pistols in a military situation.

There was a hole. It made the hole. Now there's a hole.

I'll just pretend like I know what you're talking about.

Just keep this in mind, Terror. The stigma is that most gamers are immature, stupid little kids (or teenagers at the oldest) and think at we are absolutely obsessed with trinkets and the trivial things about the game. The latter is why they market things like the omni-blade, the Atlas mech, and better graphics so heavily above the story or things that actually can make or break a game to us intelligent folk.

And guess what? The latter is absolutely TRUE. I hear more people ****ing about crap like how the bumper on that car in GTA IV is only using a measely [enter pixel count] than the rest of the car uses [enter very slightly higher pixel count]. "They should be using the higher amount NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!1111". Yeah, f**k how emotionally engaging this scene or that scene should be or how flat the voice-actor was (while offering constructive criticism). We gotz 2 hav up 2 date gwafiks!!!

The same mind frame that runs behind those who refuse to play Final Fantasy VII (7) or VIII (8) because "the graphics suck". The story is great, their rebuttal to it is "Yeah, but the graphics are terrible". Yeah, you wouldn't be saying that 10+ years ago. It is even sadder when those people did play it and reject it on based on that same logic.

I completaly agree, but all you can is.....

I know, Pwener. Occassionally it grates on my nerves, but overall it is dealt with in the sense that I know things won't change until our childish counterparts become the minority. As unlikely as it is, I do partly wish that gaming companies just go "You know what, f**k you. We're going to listen to the people who can help us improve the game instead of listen to you demand more boobies, gore, and graphics so good that they literally sap the disc of space to the point of only being able to do a 5 or 10-hour story). I am fine with nudity, gore, and great graphics but I don't understand how they are put so far above "good game and character controls" and "great story".

Anyone here ever see that "Super Mario Bros." movie that was made a few decades ago? If not, look it up or read some bits about the story and then consider the fact it was meant to be a movie version of Super Mario Bros. I think the quality of video games eventually spiralling down to the same mediocre level as that movie was/is if the gaming companies keep listening to the little kiddies obsessed with trivial things instead of the real gamers who care, despite all of our different (but, at the least, semi-intelligent) views and suggestions that they actually can chew on.

BioWare is one of the few companies I trust to make great games in terms of story, but even that is a little shaky due to my initial distrust of those who listen to the gamers with graphics-fetishes.

I own that movie and was coincidently reading an article on it today in the Sept. GI magazine.

All bull**** aside, I really enjoyed that movie and watch from time to time. It was very good and funny as hell. Can't believe people hated it and consider it the worst video game movie to date. Just like Alpha Protocol. Great potential bashed to death by moronic critics who wanted a shooter and not one of the greatest stories of deception and betrayal of the decade.

I really hate how plain ****ing stupid humanity can be sometimes.

The omni-blade actually brings a massive new dimension to gameplay. It makes stealthy approaches an actual viable tactic now, whereas in the prior games your only option was to start a firefight right away.

Honestly though, I would like to know how it works within the context of the universe. Still, u mad. Stop being so close minded, etc.

What about adding sneak and a silenced weapon? Open the level up in size outside of a narrow corridor all of the time and give players the option to play stealthy once in a while in an open environment.

All the blade does is allow one stab kills at close range. Sure, it can be used for stealth....but that's a pretty weak stealth system on its own. So, basically, its a one stab kill. Push a button....wham....dead. I didnt even hear if this thing has recharge or not. Granted, I've been pretty disappointed overall with what I've seen from Mass Effect 3. I'm starting to feel a little better now that I see and feel BioWare is taking Skills seriously and there is some effort into it, but I find the entire 'image' of Mass Effect altered and evolving for the worst, and because it is a marketing gimmick, I believe the omni-blade naturally represents that.

Like I said....I personally don't mind if its available, but I'm going to be kind of annoyed if I can't drop or sell it somewhere. I do not want in in my possession, and as a supporter of much more control and micromanaging, I believe my PC in role shouldn't have to even possess it. Delete the omni-blade program file, function...or if an omni-tool mod or mod program, drop or sell it.

I like how people think it's ok for omni-tool to conjure cryo and explosive missles from thin air, yet omni-blade is somehow unrealistic.

I read on some site that Dice was doing some kind of work on it. I'm not sure if it is true or not but I hope so. I enjoyed the first one.

Okay on topic: I friggin think the friggin' omni-blade is friggin' sweet.

Trust me, a lot of us are really, really close to it. I personally know legions of fans are pissed in the Bethesda's forum with some vowing the series is dead and they will only be watching cutscenes on YouTube to see how the story ends.

e

those people were never real fans to begin with.e  A bunch of whiny ingrates thate will harp about everything under the sun if ieverything dosent fall into place exactley how they imeagined thiengs to be.

Saddest thing is, the so called diehard faens of the series are the ones ethat seem to hate it the most.   Ive read hundreds of opinios on dozens of diff sites and the truth is people are absolutely in LOVEE with the games.  IEts only here and amongst the "die hardese" that you see so much negativity and hate.  Alu just need to shut up and go eaway uentil the game is out.  Form your opinion then.

EIT: Sorry for the typos, my stupid E key is stuck and has a mind of its own.

I didn't hate it. I think it is very funny as well and I own it. I should have clarified that I meant many consider it mediocre in terms of it being a part of Super Mario Bros rather than just a movie with many similar names. When I try to think of it as part of SMB, I go "Wtf?" but if I think of it as sort of a parody or a movie highly inspired by Mario Bros then I love it. I think where people went wrong is expecting it to be a movie version of the canon story (if SBM has a "canon" story lol been a long while).

I was talking more like it being more as a hypothetical canon part of the Super Mario Bros' story with the games looking cartoonish and the movie representing "realistic graphics". The movie does not fit well with Super Mario Bros as a serious part of the series. It takes a bad leap down in terms of the storyline at the expense of trying to look too realistic too soon.

Never played Alpha Protocol. One of the many games on my list of grabbing before disappearing into the abyss and having to resort to EBay, which I don't like (I prefer shopping in the stores). I usually enjoy Obsidian's games. I even enjoyed New Vegas on day 1 despite the initial glitches.

I do hope that last part wasn't directed at me, though.

Seriously guys! Do you have to plaster that stupid thing everywhere and shove it down our throats all the time. Especially when half the fans things it's friggin' stupid in the first place. The way you've been beating it I'm surprised it hasn't spurted forth some link of omni-goo from the tip.

Seriously... give it a rest. It wasn't that cool from the start, and it's just becoming more and more tragically uncool the more it gets waved around. It just smells of trying too hard to be "badass and awesumz!!1" to the point where it's just not. At all.

I'd have considered getting the new Femshep T-shirt if it didn't have her with that retarded thing on it. <_<

symp4saren what is your definition of a legion? To me a legion is aprox. 6,000 individuals (about the same size as a roman legion...). In all honesty you are probably only relating about 10 or so people who are upset about it that you actually personally know.

Please take note that you never actually know who a person is online.

So exactly what "legions" are you professing to be representing in this matter?
