I just got done playing my
second playthrough on Insanity with my first playthrough character.
After I beat the last boss the Long Service Medal achievement never
poped up and I want to know why?The only two things I can think
of that might of screwed it up was I made another save file of it so I
could turn the difficulty down to get the hard achievemenyt in The
Arrival DLC. But when I went back to my old save I still got the
achievement for beating the game on insanity so I want to say doing that
didn't screw it up. The second thing is that I skipped the credits.
Could that possibly scerw it up?Does anyone have an idea why I
didn't get it or is the achievement glitched and will show up later or
is the game really going to make me do a third playthrough?

I'm pretty sure when you created a second save to turn down the difficulty it still recognizes it as the first run through. Try playing through again with your ng+ character you beat the game with or import the same me1 save either way should work good luck.
