And who are you to argue?
Someone who pays attention and doesn't call everything I don't like or understand a retcon.
If You paid so much attention then pleas explain how Shepard was recoverd, without inventing things up that aren't there.
You seem to be under the impression that the mundane details of a simple operation whose results we clearly see need to be explained. Emphasis on
need, as in necessary, as in we can't get by without it.
So shepards body orbited the planet in the upper atmosphere and was retrieved. Mass effect fields may have been involved-cushioning impact maybe? Problem solved.
And you can't yell " pointless supposition!" What else are you going to suppose, that his body smacked planetside at full force and therefore resurrection is impossible? Because that clearly wasn't what happened. So stop coming up with reasons why it wouldn't work and come up with reasons why it would.
Supposition doesn't work when the gap is too large to bridge easily, and too important/complex for an off-camera treatment to do it justice. In this case the whole issue could have completely dissapeared with one added sentance, so neither of these things applies. Exactly how shepard's body was retrieved is unimportant. This only becomes a plot-breaking issue if you go out of your way to make it so.
