Actually, smud re-imagined the game and it was pretty wild. It would have made an awful, convoluted unplayable game but it pretty imaginative.

This isn't really on topic, but no you hold SMGs the same way,if you watch any of the videos he uses the Locust and it still gets held the same way.100k wrote...
Oh, here's something I always wondered. Will we be able to carry guns within the same class in a different way? For instance, noticed that the Locust SMG has a hand grip for extra accuracy -- while the Tempest doesn't.

By everyone you really mean Tali and Jack. How come no one goes ape**** when the SR2 docks with the Citadel or Illium, in that case?
Regarding the Cerberus/Cord-Hislop Corp. symbol confusion: This is one of the problems with a cross-media franchise. I believe the writers had intended for a lot of fans to go further besides playing the games, and look at the universe as a whole through the novels and comic books. Judging by the amount of confusion on this board alone, that clearly did not go as well as they had intended. Honestly, I would have done away with the symbol altogether, but I guess BW felt it was necessary to make sure that even the Lowest Common Denominator player remembered what organization they were working with.

A Quarian commando unit led by a high-ranking Quarian from a flotilla that has been recently attacked by Cerberus operatives might have intel on Cerberus, I admit.

That, and/or they've settled into this silly notion that everything in ME2 is wrong and they're never changing their minds and never changing their arguments and never listening to any counterpoints.

I for one don't bother with "extended media" for video games, as 95% of it turns out to be absolute drek.

Because 25 heavily armed men with links to a feared and hated terrorist organization wouldn't be allowed to operate in many places?
Such as?Because 25 people don't fit where 3 people do? Because they might not have the skills that Shep and his squad do?
Where exactly?Killjoy Cutter wrote...
Most of it.
Shooting a gun at people?
1. Failing in the last five meters is still failing. Losing soldiers needlessly is a waste.
2. Play the game and pay attention. There are plenty of places where trying to cram 25+ soliders in would be a mistake.
3. Recruiting most of the necessary team. Recognizing Prothean and Reaper artifacts and evidence. Combining combat prowess with exceptional technical ability.
Who did the US send to get Bin Laden? 300 men from the Idaho National Guard, or a small, tight group from the most skilled and competent special forces unit in the world?

Why exactly? as said one soldier an accaptable loss, it's Cerberus right.

But not in the main plot, if you allready have a team of 20-25 highly trained and loyal soldiers, you would't need to take a skycab on illium

Again if you allready got a team, which goal is to stop the collectors, only Mordin is really neccesary for the seeker swarm plot device

Seeing as you are just comparing these two cases i think that you are totally missing the point, it also good to see that you know all details about the assanination of Bin Laden.

Does he now, were did you get that wisdom.
Mass effect 2 proved that Shepard is completly replaceable, because he was just doing a generic soldier job, at no point is anything you mentioned relevant
I would really like to see How Mass Effect 3 deals with this issue.
How is it not relevant? I can think of several cases where its not only relevant, but of paramount importance.
Tuchanka: 'Any other alien would have been blasted out of sky'. Shepard, due to his connection to Wrex (whether or not Wrex is alive or not) is the ONLY thing that allowed him to land. If it was some generic soldier, that soldier would have died right then and there. Not only that, but Maelon would have cured the genophage for Clan Weryloc, and their plans didn't sound very conducive for uniting the galaxy against the Reapers.
Heretic Geth: Legion would not have been searching for a generic soldier; only Shepard, due to his accomplishments. Therefore, Legion would have been unable to prevent the Heretics from unleashing their virus, thus turning all Geth into servants of the Reapers. Once again, only Shepard could have prevented this.
Quarians: Tali would not have joined Cerberus for any reason, other than Shepard. Therefore, there would be no link to the Quarians, who have the biggest fleet in the galaxy.

I can't help to say that is all optional content, and that it isn't in the main plot, and that by no way the plot of Mass Effect 2 would have been affected, which is where this discussion is all about.
