I like the sound of that...and thank you MA for the heads up...much appreciated.MACharlie1 wrote...
Most of it is optional and is just her talking on the Ebon Hawk - nothing really special. But it's important to actually pay attention to what she has to say. I do admit that sometimes it might go over one's head and you have to wait while selecting dialog to comprehend what she's saying.Golden Owl wrote...
Interesting...I would like to see that....I recently finally aquired KOTOR but haven't played it yet...must get onto it....I would really like to see how they implemented it.MACharlie1 wrote...
Obsidian had this throughout KOTOR II with Kreia and the Exile...and Kreia (probably the first female character over the age of 30) wins character of the year rightfully so.

Haha.
On a more serious note, I seriously don't see how they could handle prayers in a way that would add to the overall quality of the game.

Hey! I'm not a homophobe. I just don't like gay games. I'm letting you know just because this thread's intelectual level wasn't low enough while hitting on only one controversial toppic. Now we have both gods and queers.

But even more importantly, everybody seems to be forgetting that it's BioWare's game,it's their right to put whatever they want. They can't cater to every group of people, and now I'm not just talking about religion. There has also been a number of threads like this based on sexual orientation, race, sex and whatnot. They can't represent every single culture in the world, they should be able to choose without people getting offended and accusing them of...well I don't know what anymore. You ARE NOT Shepard, deal with the fact that you can't control him 100%.

I'm honestly getting sick of these threads. This is just a GAME people. If BioWare chooses to implement some scene with Shepard praying, they would obviously need to choose a certain religion because they cannot possibly put option for every single religion in the world. But if they choose one, others will complain. My question is why?Why is it so important? Let's say they do it and choose Christianity. It makes sense,it's the biggest religion and it will satisfy larger number of people than islam for example.

True, but enforcing something as deeply held by many people as religon is just pushing it beyond playing a semi RP game into a 'Guess who's knocking at your door' avenue for the Thumpers.....The game is best off without that element included....BW doesn't want to loose gamers.Ghost Warrior wrote...

F*ck political correctness. Soon they will be demanding exact same number of white and black people in the game. Then other races will begin to complain. Then women will demand the same thing, they will also feel underrepresented. I mean, where does it end?jbblue05 wrote...

On topic: somebody said earlier that we don't get to see Shepard going to the bathroom or eating or sleeping, but we know that he it she does these things. If an individual wants to believe that their Shepard also prays, they can do that for sure. I like to imagine that my Shep plays guitar and is working on a solo album, but I'm not demanding that Shepard should be seen with a guitar singing about hockey, Shep's favourite sport. My point is that the Shepard we see will never be 100% the way we want him or her to be, but we can use *gasp* our imaginations to fill in blanks about our personal Shepard's personality and beliefs.

While I agree that political correctness sometimes goes too far in this day and age, Ghost Warrior is wrong in his assertion that Christianity is the "biggest religion on the planet." Because political correctness and actual correctness are different things.

I think it would be interesting in ME3, if your Shepard would be allowed to pray. Now i only think this should be allowed if you are playing a Shepard that has been imported from ME1. Also your shepard would have had to told Ashley that s/he believed in a God, when you discussed religion with her in ME1.
Bioware is already adding controversial things like same-sex romance, so why not add some religious stuff?
If you get to pray at will, I want to be able to yell the "G-Bomb" at will and criticize anyone that comes across me with religion.
Add On: Also whenever there would be a contextual time to pray, I would want the option to scoff at the idea of having a mythical being come down to help me with problems.
