Hey I've got a question: Do +damage runes stack?

I ask this since I always assumed they did (as in DAO), but when using a sword with 2 fire runes, I only seem to see 1 of them doing additional damage. They other seems to be cancelled out. Likewise with built in elemental damage bonuses, the rune is usually more powerful and overrides the built in bonus.

Can anyone confirm this? Or does the damage take place but is not shown?

For the most part the damage is considered taken but not shown.
