Ive been wandering about what would people remember shepard as if he defeated the reapers, surely he would become a holy like figure. I mean think about it He would brake and endless cycle of destruction that has been going on almost as long as the creation of time! That would make any sane person question if he had some kind of divinity. Im wandering do these Shepardists consider shepard to be god himself or a prophet divinely guided being? This is a big difference of belief systems.

Thou shalt not boast and beg when scanning planets for new resources, for the harvest of all riches must come with great submissiveness and labor. Thus, be glad, for the Shepard shall grant ye a way to attain this sooner rather than later.

On a serious note:

Trendy modern atheism aside, the whole of human history and vast majority of the six billion inhabitants of Earth demonstrate that humankind is by nature inherently inclined to be religious. It would not surprise me in the least to find a religious faith centered around Shepard developing in the years after the Reaper War.

As a parallel development, it would also not surprise me to see the development of the worship of the Reapers, possibly centered in the remnants of Cerberus. Defeated peoples are fertile soil for all kinds of doomsday cults and way-out ideas. Seeing as the heretic Geth worshiped the Reapers, its not too far fetched that humans would do so as well, even after their defeat.

Not so serious:

In any case, this thread is hilarious (and I say this as a practicing Christian). Needed: some Shepardism hymns. Also, after this many forum pages, I'm feeling that Shepardism is due for its first theological controversies. First Council of Virmire, anyone?
