Oh I've gotten the impression of it being morally wrong to not like DA2. Called cry babies, needing a nanny, told if I don't like it why don't I just shut up and go away. I gues I don't for the same reason I support people who do like it...it's an opinion and people have the right to have one and express it as often as they like. I love talking to everyone here.

Indeed, me too. I think the better of us will always get to the point (and did on the last forums) where we can behave like grown-ups who have differences of opinion - even passionate, unassailable or longstanding ones.

For people who can't end up thinking of their fellow community members as friends (even friends with one or two deranged and mental and wrong points of view), there is always the codex forum, if you know the site I mean

*shudder*

jbrand2002uk,

What you seem to be forgetting is...this is a forum.
And forums are made so people can come to voice their opinions and not every one will agree on everything.

Yes, while opinions are subjective to the preferrences of their owners, no amount of argument will change anyone's mind, no matter how much you want them to.

And importantly, this is Bioware's forum. It serves to hear the opinions of everyone as feedback and that includes the negatives and dislikes as well.

You may, as all members here do, voice your opinion. But all that is asked(and constantly reminded)and required here in doing so, is voice it with a little tact and civility.

And see that S in 'BSN"? It stands for social.

If you do as asked and keep in mind that while everyone is entitled to their own opinions, opinions are not facts and will be treated as such.
So agree to disagree and you might actually find that many members here are indeed on opposite stances on many things, even the liking of DA2, they manage to find civility and tact a basis for friendships here.

Many here don't just 'friend' those with the same opinion as they do, some 'friend' each other because they respect each other enough to not be belligerent one to another.

So ease back some and chill on the insults.

Besides, you'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. ;)

The use of sound bites, the last refuge of a defeated man. I actually enjoyed systematically dismantling what little there was in your posts, nor did I waste much time in doing so, I found it rather easy and mildly amusing. A welcome distraction from my studies and work.

Thank you for playing the role of the court jester so admirably.

well being nice is all fine and well in a perfect forum but alas when the main forum is dominated by Origins fans arrogant enough to think that their opinion is the right opinion and the only opinion which can be summed up as Thus : DAO/A was perfect completly without fault and the best RPG ever DA2 is inferior in our opinion and therefore doesnot exist furthermore anyone who likes Dragon Age 2 is stupid and doesnt know an RPG from their behind and not that im having a go fightright but forums and life in general is all about give and take and If the DAO/A fans that dominate the forum cant be bothered to even try then why should i or any other person even bother to be nice to them at all

Why is it that every post you've made has revolved around either one or all of:

Your Kids (Which doesn't give you the right to be self-rightouse and arrogent on the internet)

Your Wheelchair (Which doesn't give you the right to be self-rightouse and arrogent on the internet)

Your life is better then ours (And since you are a mohawked man in your 30s with 2 children and yet you still see the need to log on and just be an ass to people on the internet, despite claiming to have absolutely no time to play Origins, I don't see this)

Dragon Age Origins is for people with no friends (Which is a very telling sign you know you are losing all of these stupid arguments you start)

Dragon Age 2 is god's gift to human kind. (Which as we've seen by this thread, is a very controversial opinion that you seem to be spewing everywhere expecting everybody to agree with you)

This thread was somewhat constructive but you've made it blow completely off course. Im not trying to insult you for your life choices, but YOU ARE A MEAN PERSON. You've just sat here and insulted everybody who disagrees. I understand you may be frustrated but saying people have no friends is just a bad thing to do. Im sorry if this offends you but I've had enough of you insulting everybody and their brother.

and furthermore i make no apoligies for being one of the few who likes DA2 and refuses to be bullied off the forums by cyber-thugs and for any of the group of said DAO/A fanatics that like to constantly quote snide remarks and forum ettiquette at me try following it yourself before preeching to others and maybe people like me would start treating you in a less aggressive manner

Then learn to agree to disagree and move on.    How difficult is that for you to comprehend.

Melca you may well post that link yet you fail to realise that fans like me are willing to accept a blend of the 2 games. for DA3 where as most of the hardcore like yourself will not accept a compromise of any kind whatsoever as im sure that whatever for DA3 takes you will be at the front of the group lineing up to bash it down before even playing it.

You are making baseless assumptions and since I just now started seeing your posts, you'd have a better grasp of what kind of "fan" Melca is. Your comment tells me you have no clue.

You are free to tee hee, ha ha, til the cows come home. I am a "hardcore" DA fan, and yet I managed to enjoy Legacy just fine.  So again I refer to that old adage of what happens when you ass-u-me.

And really, this bickering is better left off this thread so it doesn't get locked. The OP has valid complaints and valid concerns. Your belittling does you no credit.  No one here is bullying you but you. I support those who love the game, hate it, and just dislike it (like me). Let your DA2 love flag fly, but don't assume that others disgreeing with you is bullying.

OP, just play it to the end then make up your own mind.Image IPB

well lets see if all of you can answer a simple question if origins is so great and so entralling as you claim it is then why arnt you playing it right at this moment.? has it crashed again? are you bored of it ?
and remember just Because DA2 isnt the sort of traditional RPG you love covet and adore in DAO/A
doesnt make it inferior i happen to think both games have good points but somewhere along the line polorized DAO/a fans seem to like adding or editing the quotes on my previous posts to try and strengthen their own one sided debate but whatever sing your songs live your fantasies st round the fire playing the guitar singing khumbya because thankfully Bioware has the sense to listen to all of the fanbase not just the "anything thats not Origins is inferior because we say" that seems so populate the threads and forums like cockroaches just remember that those of us who disagree with you wont be bullied intimadated or corraled or bossed about off the forums with your smart arsed remaks .

18 hours later and you're still going at it?

To the OP: I would suggest finishing the game. While many agree that Act 3 is a convuluted mess, there are some good points in it that are worth seeing at least once. Plus by playing the game through you can get a glimpse of how the DA world is forming. While Act 3 does hit and miss, clues are there if you look for them. While I like Origins better, I still play DA2 depending on the day and what my mood is. Hope this helps. :D

the OP will have a valid concern when he/she has played the game as a whole you cannot judge a book by its cover so when they have played 100% of the game then they are in a situation to be concerned or complain if it matches up to what they thought at 50% complete but not before.

People here talk of sanity and common sense and only a handful of people beside myself have had the common sense to say play the game to 100% complete and then form an opinion and what have we been given in return from people who have allready decided they Dont like DA2 insult sfter insult abuse after abuse and then when we bite back you sit there with that look of oh what did i do it goes both ways .

that was what i was saying from minute one before the Origins hardcore in here started the typical approach of shouting down anyone who even tries to enjoy DA2
