These are more than "concept designs". There's a 20min gameplay demo vid out there (just search for it on Youtube) and you see Ashley. This isn't concept art. The game's basically done.Mystch3vi0us wrote...
Concept designs are great and all but we haven't lost until release.
Get back on topic. We're talking about porn.

This is what happens when you give certain people female Shepard... it becomes about her hair, looks etc.
Male Shepard wants to look good too. He needs a classy beard, for starters.

I love him the way he is, but I admit, a more pronounced five o'clock shadow would be awesome.

Shepard doesn't need to be told how to wear her hair. She's a free woman.

Oh this is nothing. A few weeks ago we had a thread about swear words in Bioware games that turned into a debate about the effect of the French settlement of Canada on the connotation of the name "Isabela". It was remarkably stupid.

Feminism is a load of garbage, and is hostile to men in some fashion for the most part. No wonder why so few women call themselves feminists anymore..
First of all, everything you just said is HARDLY, if at all, true. Real Feminism is the support of equal rights for woman. I don't care who you ask THAT'S what it means. So they only way you could hate Feminisim is if you don't believe woman should have equal rights. Make your call.

Whoa, supporting long hair in a VIDEO GAME (when Shepard is no longer in the freaking military no less) makes one a feminist now? This changes everything.
'Feminism' is one term that's overused/misused a lot on BSN....mainly by those that have never read a real feminist piece of literature.
You mean like this?

Jack kept the haircut, but Shepard moved on. Or is freedom too much of a burden?

As far as women in the military. A girl can have hair down to her ass as long as it is up above her shoulders during work hours (unless things have changed in the past 10 yrs). Ashley is now a Spectre though so, again, she does not need to abide by (and Im sure this makes her happy) any of the military doctrine.

Let me explain. Feminism is garbage because it is based on a false premise. The idea that men and women are equal is patently false. Life itself is fundamentally unequal, as well as unfair. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.....only a honest look at the World. Women have their burdens, and so do men.
But people like you, and the feminists, seem to content yourselves with artificial equality that must be imposed upon Society via laws, rules and regulations that do not work, and even increase the level of unequality in many ways.
Thats fine, but don't expect me to see it for anything other than what it is.

This. And I might add that even before Shepard became a Spectre they were an N7 Marine, which is the highest proficiency of Special Forces. Special Forces in the US Military often have relaxed grooming standards when it is deemed appropriate for the mission. I know nothing like this has been officially confirmed for ME, but I think it is safe to say that it is likely the case.medcsu wrote...

Agree. Delta Squad is known to have beards and the like because they are often thrown into situations where they need to be undercover. In Shepards case (and VS) it is 100 percent sure to be the case.
