First of all, everything you just said is HARDLY, if at all, true. Real Feminism is the support of equal rights for woman. I don't care who you ask THAT'S what it means. So they only way you could hate Feminisim is if you don't believe woman should have equal rights. Make your call.
Let me explain. Feminism is garbage because it is based on a false premise. The idea that men and women are equal is patently false. Life itself is fundamentally unequal, as well as unfair. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.....only a honest look at the World. Women have their burdens, and so do men.
But people like you, and the feminists, seem to content yourselves with artificial equality that must be imposed upon Society via laws, rules and regulations that do not work, and even increase the level of unequality in many ways.
Thats fine, but don't expect me to see it for anything other than what it is.

How is it well said? Its a game based on an idealistic future where humans are treated equally. Its been happening since ME and now someone says that the ME universe shouldnt represent an idealistic future because its unrealistic in todays society?
Its the future, its a game, its fantasy where everyone can participate!!

We're different, However, both genders being different and having different strengths in certain areas does not mean that we (females) don't deserve the same treatment in the workplace or that we aren't capable of competing on an intellectual level with males in the modern world. As far as the futuristic universe of ME goes, I think that it's entirely possible that females could compete physically with males, given the medical advances and body modifications available (boneweave, genetic engineering, etc.).

Males and Females aren't equal, they will never be. They can try to close the gap, and while unnatural it will be at the cost of something else. Our basic bone structure is completely different, changing it would mean changing the gender completely.
Both have their strengths both have their weaknesses. Instead of trying to be equals in every way possible attempting to achieve a sense of equality even though are most basic structures are built differently is on grounds of mental instability. Biologically both are different, speed, strength, flexibility, dexterity to name a few vary on both genders.
Why can't we each just capitalize on what we do best instead of fighting over what the other has or doesn't have?

It's called create your own femShep.
I don't plan on using the default Shepard period. Male of female. I ways create a custom character. Only expection to that rule was LadyHawke because I liked the strip across the nose and the only way to get that was using the default look.

Being physically different has nothing to do with being "treated" equally. On point, there are many reasons you could come up with why femshep is as strong as manshep. I will argue that combat suits in the future and with modifications make all soldiers perform equally, add the special ingredients that shep has been given and she/he does even better than normal. Remember this is just my fantasy reason in my fantasy game.

right you are. I was depicting a body without any aid. Combat suits would do anything.
reminded me of my gf example:
What is the difference between a woman wearing an Iron man Suit or a manw earing it? In the end, if its a machine aiding with human interface there isn't really any difference.
They both blow **** up just as easily

Shepard can have long hair because if he she couldn't it would severely limit the options, and people would complain about it. A lot.
That's all the reason there is and all the reason there needs to be.
This. If long hair bothers you, then luckily your Shepard doesn't have to have it and can follow modern-day military regulations all she likes. While there are sensible reasons to keep your hair short or out of your face, it is just a video game and some people really don't care. I usually go for aesthetics over functionality myself: I have quite a few Sheps with the longish hairstyle.
No more needs to be said, really.

Shepard is not with Cerberus. Never really was actually and there is no way to RP that in ME3. They are the enemy.AngryFrozenWater wrote...
Shepard (depending on your choices and the game) is either a spectre or a member of Cerberus. At best the SSV Normandy is an alliance vessel and its crew are in the service of the Systems Alliance, but Shepard is a spectre. Spectres only answer to the Council. This is confirmed in ME1 conversations with high ranking officers like Mikhailovich and Hackett. Within the spectres there is no command structure and thus no specific rules apply. Spectres act in any way they see fit, either with careful diplomacy or ruthless force, being officially above any law. I doubt anyone cares what they look like. They just need to get the job done. Long hair is the least of their worries.
Shepard is either a Specre or an Alliance soldier.

I'm not worried about the armor situation. From the new promotional art, femshep's armor hasn't been any more sexualized than the previous games.
All my femsheps have short or pull-backed hair for practicality, but if Bioware wants to add more super model type options to the character creator, more power to 'em. Choice is always good!

That's what I was saying; since it hasn't really changed, the OP shouldn't feel too worried about the space bikinis.

oh oh. Yeah I was actually worried that women were all wearing turtle necks... but the alternative (miri) was not exactly what I was thinking.
I Like my femshep in her heavy colossus though.

1) Long hair gets in your eyes. Just in the Fall of Earth demo we saw, Ash's hair was flopping down into her left eye while she was firing an assault rilfe. I can't imagine how using firearms with obscured vision can be a good thing. Not when it's eaily preventable.
2) Long hair makes for a good grip in a fight. Granted there isn't a whole lot of melee fighting in the Mass Effect games, but it does happen. The fact that Shepard's getting an omniblade demonstrates that it's not going away either. But an enemy getting a good fistfull of hair puts you at a distinct disadvantage. One that's mtigated by short hair, or at least a bun.
3) Most minor but also most basic. Short hair is easy to care for. Tangles, cleaning, all become much easier tasks. Particularly when you're out in the field.
So while it's understandable that Ash and FemShep are no longer bound by standard Alliance regs, those regs exist for practical reasons which maybe shouldn't be entirely abandoned.
And this is why I'm really nervous about Ash's combat look. Long loose hair on the Normandy is one thing, but flowing ebon locks in a firefight would just look foolish and impractical. Like an excuse to go "Lookit what we can do with hair now!" or some kind of hair care commercial.

Life may always end up being unfair or unequal, but humanity has always been at its best when we don't just roll over and accept it. Of course if you'd prefer, you can just hop in my time machine and go back to the days before the Nineteenth Amendment or the Civil Rights Act of 1964. We can even drop you off before the Magna Carta is signed, if you want. No liquid containers over 3 ounces in the time machine, please.

Shepard's a soldier at the start of ME1. She soon becomes a spectre. And in ME2 you might have noticed she answers to the Illusive Man, whether she likes it or not. I assume that she's reinstated or contines her role as a spectre in ME3.ladyvader wrote...
