I love how people skim over stuff and then twist the words to suit their own purposes

It's a fact, that more males are born than females worldwide; to the tune of 5% or more if I remember correctly.  However, due to the higher mortality rate among men which is caused by numerous factors such as War, murders, suicides, accidents etc, the gender ratio eventually balances itself out.....unless you live in countries like China and India where the abominable practice of female infanticide/sex selective abortions interferes with the natural balance and you end up having considerably more men than women.

What china is setting its self up for down the road is scary. At some point all those men will need wives and due to the fact they either kill or give away most girls they'll probably be raiding nearby countries and kidnapping girls to fill the void.....

Why is this?

Because men die at a significantly faster rate than women, usually via Wars and other dangerous and violent activities.  So even Mother Nature itself seems blithely aware that men are more "expendable" than women.
And Civilized Societies tend to hold this view as well, because men do all the dangerous jobs and fight all the Wars so that women are spared from doing these things themselves.  When the Titanic went down, men that could have saved themselves gave up their own lives so that the women and children could escape.

Didn't a boat go down off Estonia a while back and the guys just pushed the women and kids aside and took the lifeboats for themselves? Chivalry seems to be dying art.

Also, here's a little something about male privilege.

Because you are obviously ignorant to the ways of the working world, I will enlighten you (which any normal person would have asked to begin with - I reckon you yourself are more of the assumption type)

1) White Males fill no quota for educational standards. ie: Colleges do not look at them as a combination needed to fulfill new age requirements (for example, schools need a certain amount of blacks, hispanic females, etc)

2) White Males do not ever have any chance or gaining any sort of social welfare benefit even if they are the leading parental unit and/or have sole custody of the child. Females, on the other hand (and this is 75% taken advantage of by either African American, Hispanic, or Illegal Alien hispanic(s)

3) As #1, white males do not fit into any hiring category at any large firm/company. For example, when filling out paperwork, do you see any option (on any paperwork for that matter) that specifically says "white AND male"? No, you see Hispanic female/male, African American female/male, but never the "white male" combination.

4) White males are always targeted for being racist if they do not agree with current policy or the opinion of someone that is not a white male. For example, if I said the President was horrible, many would automatically assume I am racist without even knowing what the word means. In this, white males are constantly discriminated against. This isnt 1950, it is now, and this is fact. In fact, many believe that white males are the ONLY source that CAN be racist.

5) Housing costs can be minimized for other combinations. For example, Section 8 housing and/or new homeowners. If you are latino and or african american, you can apply for larger loan status based on those combinations.

Like I said (and there are more examples), white males are EASILY the combination that gains the least amount of leeway and liberty now adays and it is unfortunate for those young men trying to make something of themselves. I feel bad for them constantly in this bad economy.

Hmm, you make an assumption that I am an "assumption type?"  The irony here is staggering.  I think we're done.  A conversation between the two of us would not be productive, and that's not an assumption, that's based on evidence.

My assumption was based on your assumption, thus mine is not an assumption and a mere statement. Great job being staggered, the world must be very difficult, Dont worry, Mass Effect 3 is coming and your uber leet skillz will pay off.

What EXACT privileges do you speak of? Please systematically list them because there are NONE except for those that work hard and that is not a benefit.

Having a helmet on during combat can sometimes be military regulation as well right?
Solve two problems with one stone:  Equip a helmet and the hair is magically not long anymore and is tied back.


Shepard was an N7 soldier before becoming a Spectre.  Not exactly your everyday alliance soldier.  Who knows what regulations the Alliance has when it comes to hair etc.  They could let their N7s do whatever they want under International, Alliance and Council laws and general regs.  Spectres even have less regulations put upon them.  The Alliance is going to disown Shepard who pulls off the impossible because she has her hair long?

Well, is Estonia considered a civilized nation?  Because if you're a woman in an uncivilized land, you're screwed big time..

Anyway, I'll take that gold medal.  I'm surprised I didn't get banned for revealing such thoughts on this forum, seeing as the people at Bioware are a bunch of bleeding heart liberals.  I'm even more surprised that this thread is still active..

Well someone from Bioware mentioned a few days ago (can't recall who & where.. twitter? Pax.. ugh, sorry) that hair wouldn't be animated, but would have physics applied to it - so probably see some minor movement in hair (similar to Dragon Age 2's hair most likely)... basically they won't appear like plastic helmets at least anymore (theoretically) but also we shouldn't expect overly realistically looking / flowing hair either.

The hair will go from "awful" (Me1 & 2)  to "average"... and that's about it.. which is good enough for me I guess.. just want the plastic look gone.

Dragon Age 2's hair (at least for females.. never made a male) was pretty decent in terms of look and movement - nothing great by any stretch, but also not distracting or awkward like the hair in ME1 & 2. I'd be happy if it looked on par with DA2.
