I think the way it was handled in the first "force unleashed" was the way to go
sure the overall gameplay is completely different but the idea behind it was good. CERTAIN enemies are immune to CERTAIN things and one could always use creative ways to still affect the "immune" enemies effectively.
I was expecting something better for ME3 but it looks like the gameplay, in that respect, remains identical aside for the enemies who have physical shields that need to be pulled off of their bodies which I am actually completely ok with
Force unleashed did a good job? It made no sense too. I could throw a rancor but couldn't push a droid with a shield that was 3 times smaller. Imo that shield would just fly away WITH the droid.
YES!
think about. Starkiller has enough juice to bring down a star destoryer. A Rancor gets tossed around by him as if he was a ragdoll and so should ANY droid BUT...thanks to whatever technobabble some droids were immune to direct applications of the force but ONLY to direct applications of it thus picking up a log and tossing it at those driods still knocked them over as if they were regular storm troopers.
I still think devenses should work in a rock paper scissor way and immunities should be used intelligently not dispenses to everyone who happens to have a kinetic barrier
