Shepard doesn't respond. Insted , he turns his back to the reapers. Just as he reapers begin to wonder WTF is that about, Sheppards action hero powers kick in and explosiosns happen behind him as he calmly walks away in typical hero fashion. The reapers are destroyed by random explosions.
