No one's said Legacy yet?

I was going to say Legacy and looked over to see if anyone had said that. ;)

Glad to see I'm not alone!

The choice mechanic.

To me, the choice mechanic is what defines the Dragon Age series and sets it apart from other games I've played. If that weren't there, some of the other things I love about Dragon Age (the dynamic friendships, romances, and narrative) wouldn't be nearly as interesting. While I think DA2 didn't do a great job of utilizing this mechanic, I still feel that it is, to me, the mechanic that makes this series unique, and brings to the table the most potential.

Sarcastic Hawke :D I could never guess what she would say, which resulted in random fits of laughter.

What I liked most:

Legacy by far.

The city of Kirkwall...specifically the design. It was a port city and looked like one. The overuse of areas was a detraction, but the overall design was good.

The Qunari...finally they look like they were supposed to. While I liked Sten in DAO, he just didn't look right for some reason, DA2 did change that.

What I liked least (disliked)

While the companions were decent, they weren't great. More interaction like DAO had was lacking in this area.

Attentions to the details. While the areas in the game looked good (again overlooking overuse of them) more attention to the details was needed. Legacy was a step in the right direction. (And as I stated on another thread lighting is a detail)

A mediocre protagonist. Legacy came a long way in telling us why Hawke is important and how he/she fits into the lore, but before that Hawke was just some ineffectual person thrown in the middle of...something (again the storyline is a muddled mess). Hopefully more dlc will come to explain how Hawke ties into the overall lore instead of being just some lackey we get to control as a player.

Playing as a mage
Friendship/Rivalry system

Crafting system, way better than DAA.. I do not like DAA runes crafting.

Excluding the players limited ability to interact with them, the companions are my favourite part of DA2.
I like rivalry/friendship, their interaction with one another and the fact it can evolve. Fenris/Anders, Fenris/Anders/Merril start at 100 rivalry and stay there through out the game. Aveline/Isabela on the other hand start out somewhere in rivalry and end up as friends. DA2 companions aren't a emotionally static as DAO ones.

--As much as I hate to admit it, the awesome button, especially as a mage.

--Party banter/dialogue (Templar (to Hawke): Who are you? Varric: It's the Divine, come personally all the way from Orlais to tell you what a jackass you are")

Aveline was interesting character. After that only game end - when the nightmare ends :P So part about uninstalling the game is pretty accurate.

Banter. Lol to the person who said environments (whykikyouwhy).

But they're actually quite nice. The Wounded Coast is a very beautiful location, as is Hightown. I actually liked going to the Bone Pit as well.

The problem here isn't the look of these areas, but the fact that you're constantly re-visiting them.

Myself, I would pick the banter between the various companions.

I know a lot of people didn't like it, but I also enjoyed the new combat system a lot. The waves of enemies didn't bother me, though it did make some fights pretty difficult.

My favorite part? The first 20 minutes... After that I realized that DA2 was just a really really dumbed down version of origins with the same maps recycles over and over while my choices never made any significance as to what was going to happen in the end, because no matter what, everybody gets the same ending. Seriously bioware, wtf?

The reoccuring double face palm.

I can't shake the conviction that it's proof of at least one real artist with vision, in the team. It's not just that it's such a fitting and ironic comment to the whole mess, it's also that it looks good in all its permutations, unlike most of the new art style.

The party dialogue (though not always the acting) was the most enjoyable factor for me. I felt it was very well-written and helped me get through the parts I wasn't so keen on.

Sarcastic!Hawke. Eve Myles' voice. The characters, definitely. And the banters between them, and the relationships you can develop with them, on both the rivalry and friendship spectrums. Also, insert obligatory comment about dating sim if you wish, I absolutely loved being able to romance whomever I wished regardless of what gender I chose to play as.
