I've owned a copy of Dragon Age II since it came out, and I'd like to play it on my new laptop.  However, said new laptop does not have an optical drive.

What are my options?

If you register(ed) the game to your account you should be able to get it through http://store.origin.com/

I definitely registered Dragon Age II, but it's not listed there. I don't even see an option to download Origins, which is listed.

You've probably looked into this already, but are you able to get anywhere with an external drive? I'm not saying that you should go out and buy one just for this, but maybe a friend has one you can borrow. If you can just get the game to the installation screen, you might be able to choose to install it in a custom location, i.e. your computer's had drive, and rely on the external drive only once. There is no disk check after setup, after all.

We actually use this method quite a bit to install games on fiance's netbook. Granted, the games aren't as sophisticated as DA2, but what the heck? It just might work. Or not.

Download the Origins manager from EA. Install and log in using this account. In the top right corner next to your user name is a little gear icon. Click on the gear and select "Redeem Code". Enter your CD key from any EA game released in 2009 or later. The game will then show up under the My Games tab on the far left for download.
