I'm nearing the end and next year may choose to play as a renegade. The thought of being a berk to my crew mates doesn't sound appealing...does being a renegade mean you are just obnoxious to everybody? If yes, how does that affect your squad's loyalty to you?
There's a cheat book which says that you can use a bug to max out both your Paragon and Renegade meter early on in the game...they probably mean that you can choose to max out one...but would maxing out both mean that you won't be able to gain people's loyalty in disputes...like Miranda v Jack etc?
Also, I'd want to play as a female for my Renegade Shephard...currently male...will I get a bonus for completing the game if I start a new game with a different sex and a different look?
What is the game like playing as renegade?

To answer your questions:
Q: Does being a renegade mean you are just obnoxious to everybody?
A: Sometimes obnoxious, sometimes grumpy or impatient. For some sample Renegade dialog, watch
Q: Do renegade dialog choices affect your squad's loyalty to you.
A: No.
Q: Would maxing out both Paragon and Renegade meters mean that you won't be able to gain people's loyalty in disputes...like Miranda v Jack etc.
A: I do not know. If you could max out both, it may be possible. I think the cheat that you are referring to can be seen here:
However, that is very time consuming so I would not bother with it. Just max out your Renegade meter and you should be fine.

Thanks for that. Looked at a couple of minutes of the first vid...even though I'm trying to be a Paragon this playthrough, I did do some Renegade stuff earlier. I've edited my Shephard...he sorts of like a cross between Picard and Daniel Craig...but with mininal hair...a bit like:

Unfortunately he's got a bit of an Alan Jones type mouth! (guy on the right)

My Shephard wears a pink suit. Hmm.
Be good if you could have a bad-ass commander but not one who's obnoxious to his crew without cause. Or maybe more conversation options...so you could have degrees of badness or goodness.
re infinite P/R points...maybe that is the one in the cheat book...the book mentions the early action in the game...I thought it had to do with the scene where you have to use Jacob's biotic power against the mechs...could be wrong. Like someone says on that You Tube clip replies section, it sounds a grind. Hopefully just avoiding P points will suffice for conversation options to open up for you.
It's also a bummer re no bonus points for completing the game but changing genders and looks...seems like an obvious thing to have included...not sure why they'd not have it.
If I play as a renegade, I'll create a female character...and try and get into Jack's pants. Ooh, I'm sooo bad!
