Oh its alright you meant well - its just rule of thumb if you going to do something like that and post it at least ask the artist first. No bodies, no caskets, no foul. To be honest it was odd prespective it was meant for her to looking up and something..

As a professional artist for over 20 years and art teacher with a degree in fine arts and a firm understanding of copyright laws I will tell you that you have done nothing wrong.
Ignore the bullies.

The hyper sensitivity of some "artists" (or those who claim to speak for them) is frankly absurd. What quaigee did is no different / harmful / offensive than the countless images we see on the internet / in forums that are photoshopped to look different, or funny or used to express a point... I.e. "motivationals", drawing spectacles or a mustache on a pic, etc. It happens all the time and nary a word is ever said - people ignore or it chuckle.
But because we have a new artist from Bioware who is appreciated by much of the BSN (including myself, I have followed Patrick's artwork for many many months on his blog site), the "artists" have to come out and cry foul just because 1 fan PROPOSED a possible alteration that some fans might like better.
Guess what? I like blonde hair (blonde myself). I photoshopped Patrick's pic of the new femshep from red to blonde for fun (and to practice my photoshop skills.. which are rather mediocre). If I decided to share it with a few people just for fun or as an alternate, I can easily see these "artists" crying foul.
It's not as if quaigee weere stealing the work or even taking credit for Patrick's art. He altered an eyeball slightly and a few other miniscule cosmetic changes because he's a fan of the work, but wanted to see how it would look differently... some like the changes, others don't. There's no harm in what he was doing at all and no reason he should even be discouraged from doing so.
He's not presenting the picture to Patrick or emailing him saying: "Your version sucks! Mine is better! Nyaaah!" ... he's presenting his minor changes to us, the community, the fans, because Quaigee too is a just merely another fan and having fun with the artwork.
Goddamnit so many of you people are so uptight about such petty things. Quaigee was just having fun sharing something with the community and now you've forced his hand into taking down his little project (something many of us appreciated or enjoyed).
Talk about stifling creativity and imagination... those of you who did this should be outright ashamed.
Oh, and to borrow a phrase from Joker, if I may... get that pole out of your ass, many of you seem to have it wedged up there quite firmly. <_<

I mean like what the devil, he made one small edit to the eye and some people act like he just crapped on the Mona Lisa and broke a hundred copyright laws.

The original artist is incredibly talented but the fact is, the eyes were just a little off in this picture.

The OPs edit was slick and nothing major. Those getting their panties bunched up really need to get their priorities sorted.

You really need to get your eyes sorted, because the female shepard in the picture is obviously looking up. It's not meant to look at the viewer.

TL;DR. Also lol at stifling the creativity of someone who took someone else's hard work and photoshopped it so the eyes are looking at us instead of up and presented it as a revision. Lollll stop trying to suffocate OP's vast imagination, complainers; it cannot be contained!
This thread is absurd.

Original Artwork for ME3 Thessia by Bioware:

Well, I personally think it's too dark, so I increased the levels to make it look like a more cheery-happy-go-fun-lucky place to visit where you can have wine & cheese:

"Oh my goodness! How dare she! Heretic! You altered someone's work! Burn her! Burn the witch!"

It's his decision to take it down, but imho he did it for the wrong reason. He wasn't being rude/inconsiderate nor was he committing a crime. A couple people just brought a bandwagon to the party and started arguing for the sake of argument. Hathur already said it like it is, so I don't need to add to it. This will be my last post on here because I've learned to just let a sinking ship sink when it comes to BSN. All I have to say is don't let them muscle you with their words. It emboldens them and will end up repeating itself on a future thread.
So yeah, sorry you took it down. It was a really nice edit that sadly couldn't be appreciated by a couple people.

And for clarification, I did not remove the image due to any particular pressure from anyone. I did it out of respect for Patryk and his work. I've even received some really nasty and hate filled messages because of this. Sadly, those nasty messages had no bearing on my decision. (Though I did thank them for taking the time to send me a message.

That said, the image is not as offensive as constantly calling patryk's version "retarded." Sometimes, it's not until you send something out to print until you notice a mistake. But it's not like you can change it now. Still has to hurt to hear a ton of people call your work awful cause one pupil is slightly off.
