Patryk obviously prefers MaleShep, making our opinion more valid than yours [only half-trolling]

She looked a bit older and tougher as a blonde.

The newly added freckles give a more girlish appearance, and if i'm honest, i don't like Patrick Oejniczak's drawing all that much. It makes her look even younger and the position she's sitting in wouldn't look out of place in Love Hina which doesn't help any.

I don't think she looked any older or tougher as a blonde, she pretty much looked as young as she does now.  It's not haircolor or even freckles that make her look younger, it's the way they built her face.

Disagree. Each of the 6 choices, while more youthful than the original default femshep, could all pass as a convincing commander.

I think that it's a combination of Patrick's art style, the position Shepard has been drawn in, and the changes made to the original model to accomadate her new hair colour that make her appear too young. The original blonde was just fine.

Thanks for the updated blonde and the brunette version, Quaigee. Great job as usual ^_^

I really like the blue (turquoise almost?) eyes.. gives her an even more piercing stare.

Because she has freckles she doesn't look like a legitimate commander?  Why do freckles mean you look younger, lots of people have freckles.  The way they made her is just baby faced, with or without the freckles.

Regardless of how we fall on the FemShep debate... I think we can all agree on being thankful they never chose this shepard as the official shepard: http://social.biowar...index/1398049/1 :innocent:

........ ok, maybe not... but at least you couldn't complain about not being able to remove the ME2 Blood Dragon helmet with a face like that :D

I'm not sure if the helmet would help... I'd still know that face is underneath that helmet. ;)

No, that's not what i'm saying at all.

The facial model certainly looks younger than what we're used to, but the freckles augment that youthful visage even further, leaving us with something that just is not believable as a military commander. Before the freckles were added, the model, while still a little younger looking, was at the borderline of being fine.

It is commonly accepted that freckles generally make a person look younger. I don't know why; it's just the way it is.

But to clarify, while lots of people have freckles, they do generally enhance a youthful appearance. That doesn't prevent a person from looking mature and capable of course, but look at Annie Wersching. She appears younger than her age, which is 35. While not the only reason, her freckles do help.

I've been toying with the idea of creating a "hardened" Shepard... one that wasn't so "youthful". Honestly, I'm fine with how old she looks. Hell, it's the future. I'm sure they have some genetic ehnahcements that make people live longer. 50 could be the new 30. ;)
