Thoughts? And I personally liked Zaeed as he really felt like a "Polar Oposite" to Shepard (unless you were a die hard douche bag). Zaeed was the same thing as Shepard except to a greater extreme; that and he is less "professionaly" trained I'm sure.

From my understanding both Zaeed and Kasumi are only cameos and won't be squad members.

And this Prothean squaddie is just plain silly. No way even in stasis pod would anyone survive after 50,000 years.

The rest can be all temp or cameos. And I have a question: Is Wrex a vanguard? I mean, he is a biotic and have shotguns and ar.

I actually dislike the Soldiers; but I enjoyed the main list more than the "temp" list. Besides; the Squad A.I. were terrible in ME1 / ME2 anyway, and the Biotic users were basically screwed over in the 2nd game...Why not have more Techies / Combat specs? They do their job; and I'll use my sniper to bring the rest down.

Yeah that kid should be on there instead of Gardner. If that crew could get a hold of their own ship, Jacob's dad should be the captain.

This isn't ME1.  Shepard's classes don't apply to squadmates anymore, so I don't think it's relevant to even discuss having a squad member to match each Shepard class.  What would Thane have been in ME2?  A Vanguard?

If the combat system follows the precedent set by ME2 (which it seems to be doing), then it is more useful to discuss squadmate roles in terms of what types of enemies they excel against, or what they bring to the battlefield.  We know that Ashley will focus on lethality.  Conversely, Vega will focus on survivability.  They can both be called "soldiers," though, so what meaning does the term even have when applied to squadmates?

My soldier Shep would usually take Ashley and Vega (Soldiers for the win! ), other than that I don't mind who's a squadmate because it's too hard to choose others. I love everyone.

3.) Kasumi (Shadow Strike, Overload, Flash Bangs...combat synergy with my Shep)
4.) Legion (Sniper with Drone and Hacking...combat synergy with my Shep)
5.) Samara (classiest Biotic)
6.) Kaidan (Biotic)

My Assassin Infiltrator Shep would be a very happy man with this^ permanent squad.

For a round out to 8:

8.) Zaeed (Sniper with Concussive Blast)

7 or 8 can be swapped out for Vega...don't know enough about Vega to make a call on him.

I only need Soldier Shepard, Grunt and Ashley. Every enemy will be quelled by the sheer ferocity we come at them with... Mostly assault rifles with squad ammo powers.

I think nobody will be a permanent squadmate in ME3.
