1) Arcane Warrior PC with sword + shield in one w.slot and staff in the other for versatility



2) Shale w/ throw + punishing blow talents OR Alistair w/ s+s and longbow



3) Wynne for healing/support



4) Respecced Leliana w/ focus on DW for support/melee DPS.and a shortbow w/ dex fix in w.slot 2



This setup allows you to do everything, from engaging at range to battling up close. Have the PC use CoC, and set Wynne's talents to use Stone Fist when the enemy cannot attack. Use Death Hex on big enemies before surrounding them with your melee characters.

Any boss gets death hex and dies in about 5s, with AE CC you can lock down everything while your dps shreds everyone.

Just have a mage in your party that have the spells that freezes , paralyse, sleeps, petrify , imprison and so on.  So you can lock anything down while your other 3 choosen chars kills.

I completed the game like 6 times now, and i barely heal doing this and i tried have all kind of group combination. Of course you willl get hurt now and then, but nothing a potion cant fix. Simply make a few potions type 1 and 2 , dont need greater or better versions really. And you want to make 100 mana potion type 2 aswell. that enough too complete game most times.

Any boss you simply freeze (ice magic number 3 in line)  and throw Hex on that make all hits miss except criticals. then you never/rarely lose a member of your party. Its fun seing a dragon or revenant doing no damage hehe.
You can also throw hex that make all hits hitting the monster crit on your target, then they die extra fast Mwuhaha.

When there are many enemies you simply sleep, mass paralyse . Waking nightmare also works good often.

I have completed game without dying a single time on main char aswell. One time being a mage on easy and one time being rogue archer on normal.

The last 3 member doesn matter to much. really. pick any combination you like.

Be carefull if you make Morrigan your mage of choise since she will leave you before final boss if you choose not to do ritual.  Then you better have a backup mage hehe.

Pretty much easy mode.

Yea... I did not think this through before making my decision here, she left with the damn dragonbone staff >,<
