Hawke Meets Warden Speculation

On topic: Hawke and the Warden meeting can be a multitude of things. A Fight,a meeting of the minds, a catfight, a silly name calling fight, or a one sided conversation because the warden lost the ability to speak or.....
It's very possible for that instance Bioware lets you control the warden and for that one conversation, it plays out Origin style. That way, No one will be dissapointed by not liking the voice just in case and it'll have the nostalgia feeling as well.

Offtopic: He brought only lols, seeing as Kirkwall as fresh out of it.
Ontopic: Perspective is everything in DA3, it seems. Who will we control? The Warden? Hawke? Someone new? Questions a plenty and without answers to be tied with.

I definitely think it could work, and if appearance importing is a problem then I think they should just give us a new optional CC screen (ala the mirror) with which to customise our Warden. That would require introducing Dwarves and Elves to the DA2/3 CC menu, but if they really can't just import the appearance data from Origins then I think it's the best solution. Having the Warden show up masked and such would be incredibly unsatisfying I think.
Regardless I would expect the Warden and Hawke to be allies, even if it is only grudgingly for some. In fact it would make sense to have their relationship work in the same fashion as the DA2 rivalry/friendship system, either way they work together and not requiring some big fight (mainly to satisfy Hawke Vs Warden/Hawke must die folks) which will only further complicate what gets imported into future installments.

My Warden's relationship with best will in world would end up like my Hawke and Anders endgame result with knife going pokey pokey. Make no mistake I dislike Hawke and forcing a "lets be friends" or "I forgive you for bringing back the hag" just would not happen if really was my Warden. Now if they let my Warden kill off Hawke at the end then I could justify going along with Hawke for short period of time but if remove the option then I would rather you never brought my Warden back in first place.

I could be wrong but I thought that I read somewhere that there may be some familial connection b/w Hawke and a Warden w/the Human Mage Origin...if that truly is the case (and is one that I am exploring by replaying DAO again with that set-up), it may be even more interesting meeting. Perhaps we learn more of Malcolm Hawke...perhaps we learn more of why "Hawke" was so important for the focus of DA 2's story (like it has do with his heritage - even more so than what is introduced in Legacy).
Indeed. Amell Warden is cousin to Hawke (like Charade). Leandra states that "The Hero of Fereldon" is one of her cousn Revka's children.
edit: Amell family tree

Apollo Starflare...you nailed it perfect about making the warden visible. While those on console version will not have issues with appearance, there are a lot, and I mean a lot, that will have issues with pc versions due to the numerous mods for the warden's appearance.
I'm not even sure it's going to be a walk in the park to import a Warden's appearance on consoles, the Elves alone have undergone plenty of physical changes afterall.
Whilst having to re-create (or mostly re-create) our Warden for a new game would no doubt irritate some people, I think it could prove to be the most satisfying option in the long run. Not to mention that whilst some finer details will be hard to replicate, I've found that on the whole it isn't that hard to recreate a character's appearance presuming you can refer to a picture or similar without too much difficulty. I've done it when importing a Shep once or twice in ME2.
Plus even if importing from Origins does work, our Warden would have to undergo similar changes in order to bring them inline with the new look the races have.

Warden kicks Hawke's ass.
The Warden looks at Hawke with absolutely no expression on their face and yells out a battle cry of "Shall I get you a ladder, so you can get off my back?", before shuffling over to Hawke at a snail's pace. Hawke says some one liner then grabs a six-feet long sword with one hand and stabs the Warden. The Warden explodes.

Impressive, which mods have you favoured in DAO?

Nah Warden looks at Hawke and says above line ^^ Hawke then winks at Isabella who rips off her top grabs the warden and suffocates him with her ample cleavage, Warden dies a happy man

I think it would be very, very cool if the circumstances on which they meet depend on what your DA:O outcome was.
If Morrigan and the Warden disappeared through the Eluvian together, maybe them meeting will have something to do with the planned Morrigan appearance in DA2 dlc and/or DA3.
If your Warden was a human mage, Hawke goes out seeking their cousin.
If your Warden became King/Queen, Hawke goes to ask for help with correcting the world's chaotic state, etc.
Wouldn't it also depend on whether The Warden or Hawke sided with the mages (i.e. the Magi boon) or the templars (i.e. "A Crowning Achievement")? I doubt a pro-templar Hawke would seek aid from a pro-mage Warden, for instance. There's also the issue of The Warden supporting Morrigan's clandestine goals, which may contrast with Hawke's own goals, regardless of whether he supports the mages or the templars.

So I understand it has been hinted at the Dragon Age panel in PAX 2011 that the Warden might meet Hawke in the forseeable future. How do YOU think it will happen? Will he have a voice? Will it just be a brief glance? Where will it be at? Will it happen in a coming DLC or in DA3? Share your thoughts.
Hmm, I can't imagine how they would work this out, unless by "meet" they ment cross paths. It could be pretty cool and I'm looking forward to seeing how this is done. A voice for the Warden would be interesting, but not really necessary. I would imagine seeing the Warden off in the distance as he/she leaves to carry on with other business will be what happens. Only problem is, my favorite warden is a female dwarf... a rare find in Kirkwall.

Pfft. My warden is the strong silent type. Isabela simply gives the warden a sultry wink, thinking of fond memories she had with the warden and Leliana, before running off with my warden for round 2 along with my lover Leliana and my Queen, Anora.
Hawke stands alone... and cries.

@ billy the squid...I have about 20 installed, but for Marcus ther he uses Wither hair, dracomies skin textures, LS Eyes, PT's Vibrant Colors, CC Extra Tints and Tones, and Got My Hair on My Face whcih is really a tatoo mod for the beard.
Thanks for the info, until I get my new computer sorted out, I am resigned to using an xbox, but It also means I have to put back the mods I used, some of which I have forgotten about or are quite new.
I take it that the texture mods also affect the NPCs and other characters such as Leliana? I know of the DA redesigned mod, which is certainly impressive, but I didn't want to particularly change the look of the characters, so those mods you recomended should fit the bill, thanks.

More accuratley what you just said above with one alteration. Hawke winks at Isabella, she goes over to Warden makes out with Warden and then stands behind him while Warden says "I did her first, how does it feel to have sloppy seconds Hawke?" Then Hawke with eyes filled with tears tries to do what Pres said only as he goes for his 6ft long sword of which the Warden replies "Trying to overcompensate much little fella?". Every one of Hawkes companions laughs at Hawke so Hawke throws down his sword and runs away crying like baby because his precious feelings got hurt.

Or perhaps, the warden searches for Hawke to help bring the world together because he was at the center of all the events. The next storyline basis could be as simple as the Qunari plan to use Kirkwall as an excuse to retaliate against the rest of the world and that there's no way to fight them off because of the Mage Vs Templar conflict.
I could see this as a decent plot to start tying a lot of Origins and DAII characters together. I'm already guessing Leliana is going to make a return. The REAL Sten might make a return because of something like this? It'd be interesting to see if he chose the Warden's or the Qunari's side.
