Xariann posted a video of the charge bug on LotSB Hatch fight ( Hit pause, then play to get it to play )
Okay I gotta admit - that was pretty damn funny.
Edit: LOtSB ship interior is up.

I really don't get some you people whats with your fascination with not charging, and please don't gimme "vanguards a one trick pony" thing, i got no problem with it but i cringe when i see people using shockwave
I'm sure Mi-Chan will answer for himself, but the game has been out for two years and most of us have played the vanguard ( and the other classes ) so much that we like to try the other variations out for variety.
If you look at Mi-Chan's youtube channel you will see a lot of claymore vanguard videos that are "normal" vanguard.
RedCaesar97 did/is doing a shockwave Adept
Capn233 is doing a Reave Soldier
CaolIla is doing an "aggressive sniper soldier" - only uses the sniper - even at close range
CaolIla also did an engineer where he almost never used the drone
I did a Revenant Soldier that used concussive shot ( and its the worst power, imo, in the game )

And yes, the vanguard charging off the side of ship was funny

I think biotics seem to glitch more since they have more opportunity to glitch. It seems that enemy animations have some frames of invincibility where most crowd-control powers do not work as they should. Since most biotics are used for crowd-control, biotics seem to glitch the most.mcsupersport wrote...
Me too, hate the Vanguard is so buggy with Charge. It seems the Biotic powers have more glitches than the tech based. I charged an enemy that was on a ledge, then next thing I know the ship is way below and going away and I get to reload.....
Yeah, or they just plain borky after the Arrival DLC....go watch the first 25 seconds of this video..... www.youtube.com/watch and see a husk get warp bombed after it walks through a Singularity.....happens twice before the first scion battle.

Speaking for myself, I have over 30 completed runs through ME2, as such playing a standard character doesn't hold as much fun as it used too. I did a shotgun adept because that is something I have only done 1-2 times before and I was starting to video the game with Fraps. I will play more Vanguards standard simply to video them, but it is more fun to try out builds and NOT do the same thing you have done many times before. That is why I use the CAIN more than I used to, to end fights and make a big boom, such as the end of Tali's loyalty mission, because it is fun.
I am thinking of using Conconsive shot on a Soldier because I have gotten some good use with squad with it and want to try it out. Variety is fun.

Boring/easy. I've been trying to spice it up with doing as much content as I can without cover. I'd say outside of Grunt's RM and Legion's LM. I've done pretty well.
I hate cryo ammo or I'd invest time in a cryo guard(they look interesting). Although I was messing around on an Infiltrator and with the Sniper dilation and cryo ammo+viper. You can pretty much cloak, scope shoot, rescope shoot, cloak over and over because cooldowns still cooldown real time rather than slow. It is probably as broken than Tech Armor IMO. You've frozen three to four enemies before they've shot enough bullets to make your shield break.

Shockwave is not a great power, but it can be fun.Soccer FeverMan wrote...

Personally, I like having more options on my Vanguard than just Charge > shotgun > Charge > Shotgun... Charging with the Claymore is fun, but I prefer using my all weapons and squadmates.
Slam is good, but I prefer Pull since I can arc it around cover and Pull Field can grab multiple enemies. Pull on a Vanguard requires Shockwave, so I might as well use Shockwave. It made the Vanguard more interesting to me and gave me more options in any situation.

I've played this game to death and beyond, so the standard builds make me yawn. The charge-bot Claymore Vanguard is fun, but incredibly boring in the long run. I like the variation of Shockwave, and it's fun to toy around with.
My other unorthodox choice was the Claymore Only soldier. Unlike the Vanguard this wasn't samey in any way whatsoever because you have to get to the enemy manually - which means taking damage while getting there thus it's not as easy.
And hey - it's a game. If I'm not having fun - What's the point?
