 I own the Steam PC versions of ME1 and 2, and have been playing them pretty much since release without issue.  I was on a current run through in Mass Effect 1 when I hit quick save and literally within the same second we had a power surge and my PC reset.  I was worried that my saves might be corrupted, but...

When I loaded the game back up, I found my "profile" seemed to be missing.  That is, as soon as it reached the title screen it immediatly said "Saving content".  For some reason it still had a level 1 save of my current character, with most of my graphic options forgotten, and all my achievements lost.  All my saves are still there, but they don't have a "profile" for each character until I load a save from each one once, and then everything is peachy until I close the game.  I simply used the console to restore all the lost achievements.

However, this happens every time I load the game up now.  The main menu screen pops up "Saving content", all my achievements are missing, and all my saves are still there (and work fine), but I have to load them up individually from the "All profiles" load menu, and I have to reset the graphic options again.  

It's not a serious issue, but I'm not really sure where to begin to try and fix it.  Please, any advice or help is appreciated!

I've no idea on how you can get your saves back but if there is a corruption in the profile files you could simply delete them manually (or move them from the BioWare folder which is stored in document by default). If there is something in the actual game that has been corrupted it should be solved by reinstalling the game.

With power surges during a save process, some information may become corrupted. As dinria mentioned, I would try to make a backup of your BioWare saved game folder and uninstall reinstall the game to see if the game has actually become corrupt due to the fluctuation of the power.
